Personnel sections
editI see you have made some changes recently to Personnel ("Credits") sections. While you are at it: per the WP:Music guidelines, all people who have articles should be linked, even if they have been linked previously in the article. Also, the section should be titled "Personnel" and not "Credits". It used to be Credits, but it was changed awhile back. — John Cardinal (talk) 12:47, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
A Hard Day's Night
editI see you added a "Tributes" section to "A Hard Day's Night". That seems like a nice solution for the Beatallica and Rutles entries. I also see that you re-added the Love entry. I meant to move that somewhere else in the article because it didn't seem appropriate for the Covers section, but then I forgot. So... nice catch by you there. I don't think the Love mention belongs in Tributes, but I don't have a better suggestion other than to mix it into the prose somewhere above.
BTW, I am not a big fan of using tables for cover sections (seems like overkill to me), but the article had both a list and a table with some entries in both and so something had to be done. — John Cardinal (talk) 13:35, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, John. I think it's better after our combined efforts than before. I had considered ordering the "Cover Versions" table by date but elected to order it by name, since the names had been in the first column. However, I think your change of moving the dates to the first column and then ordering by date is an improvement.--Drake Redcrest (talk) 14:53, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- I am glad you like it; I agree it's better after our combined efforts than before.
- The "by year" organization seems to be the standard, though I admit I don't recall where (or even if) I read that on WP. I was also influenced by discography articles where tables are almost exlusively organized by year/date. When they include a specific release date, they still have a year column and put the release date some where else. — John Cardinal (talk) 15:11, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
