June 2014 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Power (social and political) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • {{Cook, Manuela. 2014. "Beyond T and V - Theoretical reflections on the Analysis of Forms of Address",

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 14:22, 14 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Dr M. Cook. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. You added a reference to "Beyond T and V" by M. Cook in Sociolinguistics. That reference does not serve to verify content in the article. It appears to be reference spam, use of citations or references to promote the publication or author cited.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits have as little bias as possible.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Thank you, Cnilep (talk) 23:10, 14 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have also removed the references you added to Sociology of language, Language change, Power (social and political), and Critical discourse analysis. I did not remove them from T–V distinction, where the work is relevant. Cnilep (talk) 00:06, 15 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to N-v-t distinction, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Cnilep (talk) 02:37, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, User:Dr M. Cook/sandbox edit

Hello Dr M. Cook. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Dr M. Cook/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 15:32, 24 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
