Welcome

edit

Hello, Dr. R.Rajendra Prasath, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Rajendra prasath, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! elektrikSHOOS 06:54, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rajendra prasath

edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Rajendra prasath requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. elektrikSHOOS 06:54, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your article, and some advice

edit

Welcome, again, to Wikipedia. The links at the top of this page will tell you more, and I recommend WP:Your first article as well.

I have "moved" your article - changed its title - to Textual case based reasoning, because Wikipedia's standard style for article titles is that capital letters should only be used for the first word and for proper nouns - see WP:TITLEFORMAT. What the article needs now is references: one of Wikipedia's basic policies is WP:Verifiability, which says that "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source". Another basic policy, linked to it, is WP:No original research - Wikipedia is not for first publication of new material, but only for summarising material already published.

Two pieces of advice:

  • Writing encyclopedia articles about yourself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained here, but your user page at User:Dr. R.Rajendra Prasath is a place where you can put some details about yourself, if you like. User pages are mainly intended to help communication within the project, and should not be used for extended material unconnected with Wikipedia - see WP:User pages for more detail.
  • You seem to have at least two accounts, this one and Drrprasath (talk · contribs). I strongly advise you to choose one account and stick to it, to avoid any suspicion of "sockpuppetry".

I am afraid the links I have given you mean a lot to read, but it will save time in the end. The Welcome paragraph above tells you where you can get help, or you are welcome to ask any questions on my talk page.
