September 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Utcursch. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Seuna (Yadava) dynasty, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. utcursch | talk 15:07, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Brahma-Kshatriya moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Brahma-Kshatriya, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 20:49, 8 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Notice of discretionary sanctions on caste and related articles edit

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

April 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Ekdalian. You have been adding or changing content in an article, Sen (surname), but you didn't provide a reliable source. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you have been informed earlier as well. Your talk page clearly shows that you have mostly engaged yourself in unconstructive edits. Moreover, your article on Brahma-Kshatriya does not have enough sources and citations, and has been moved to draftspace. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sen (surname); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Ekdalian (talk) 09:59, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bishonen | tålk 09:30, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • It's perfectly obvious per WP:DUCK that you created User:Cleanup 9060301 to continue your edit war at Sen (surname) and to attack and insult Ekdalian after this account had been warned. If you create further sockpuppets to deceive or mislead other editors, the next block will be longer. Please see WP:SOCK. Bishonen | tålk 09:36, 20 April 2020 (UTC).Reply

Unblocked with apologies edit

Hi, Dr.SunBD, thank you for your polite e-mail. I thought it looked very obvious that Cleanup 9060301 was your sock, especially from the page history here, but I have now inquired of a CheckUser, and know I was wrong. I should have had more faith in your good intentions! (That said, you ought not to have edit warred with Ekdalian, an experienced user who explained the problems with your edit in his edit summaries — again, see the page history.) Anyway, you have been unblocked, with my apologies. Bishonen | tålk 19:50, 23 April 2020 (UTC).Reply

In spite of a clear message from a senior admin like Bishonen against edit warring, you have again come back with poor POV edits and tampering with the lead section of the article. Sorry, Bishonen for writing below your remarks; I found this to be the most relevant place to mention this. And Dr.SunBD, please have a look at your talk page before threatening me (on my talk page), all POV edits, my goodness!! I really wonder, are you here for any actual contribution at all? Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of Kulinism edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kulinism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.britannica.com/topic/Kulinism. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fram (talk) 09:21, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of INDEPENDENT71.COM edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on INDEPENDENT71.COM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello, Dr.SunBD. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Brahma-Kshatriya".

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:51, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your edit [1] does not belong to the lead and is not properly sourced. It cannot stay as such. Please discuss if you think otherwise. पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 09:54, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Warning edit

Hi, Dr.SunBD. Please stop edit warring at Vaidyabrahmin and attempting to insert poorly sourced material. As Ekdalian tells you at Talk:Vaidyabrahmin, you are not allowed to cite Sanskrit texts and interpret them yourself. And as he tells you in this edit summary, you're misrepresenting your own source by ignoring its footnote. I'll add from myself that a link to Google Books, such as you gave here, is a very poor, primitive source which is not acceptable in an encyclopedia. See Uncle G/On common Google Books mistakes. You need to provide facts about the source — author, title, publisher, year of publication, and page you're referring to. See Help:Referencing for beginners. Note that readers do not all have access to the same parts of Google Books, depending on where in the world they live. Your editing, and especially your use of sources, is extremely problematic, and I'm afraid I'll have to block you if it doesn't improve. Note also that Wikipedia is not for caste glorification. If you are a WP:POV editor please think like a WP:NPOV. Is a bachelor degree and a doctoral degree equivalent? MD is using instead of MBBS in America or "followers of American system" countries.

4 types of degrees in education system.

1.Associate Degree 2.Bachelor Degree:MBBS 3.Master’s Degree 4.Doctoral Degree:MD So,MD degree is higher level degree than MBBS and using instead of MBBS but not equivalent!

Kayastha was a profession like technocracy in Hindu monarchy system, but this Kayastha is a caste! Dr.SunBD (talk) 13:57, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

The main profession of the Kayastha caste was clerical working (writing, administration, ...). This is amply explained in the caste article. I can't find any reference to a different profession actually called "Kayastha" which is separate from this. Your article only states that it is a profession, without explaining what profession. I don't really understand your explanation, I have to say. Fram (talk) 14:16, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

See here https://www.jstor.org/stable/44144743 Kayastha, Mahakayastha,Purokayastha (assistant of citycorporation(pur) Karana, Dharmadhakya,Mantri, Samanta, Mahasamantha etc are also professional tittle. Dr.SunBD (talk) 14:21, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

So, it was presumably a group of people with the same profession (writers) which evolved into the caste of writers. That seems to me something that belongs in the caste article, and not separately, as they are clearly closely related and the profession is only mentioned as such a few times in ancient texts anyway. Fram (talk) 14:35, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

reliable sources edit

I notice that you're citing the Mahabharata and the Rig Vedas here. Please note that these do not qualify as reliable sources. As should be fairly obvious, translations of ancient texts are not reliable though scholarly interpretations are fine. Please stop doing that. If there is a pattern of your citing these translations in support of content added by you, you will be topic banned/blocked from editing in the caste space. --RegentsPark (comment) 17:00, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@RegentsPark: There is a pattern. I already warned Dr.SunBD quite sharply about using the Mahabharata or the rig vedas as sources on 25 June,[2] which they are clearly ignoring. Their recent editing on Vaidya is enough, as far as I'm concerned. See block notice below. Bishonen | tålk 17:35, 24 July 2021 (UTC).Reply

You have been blocked for one month for persistent use of unreliable sources in the face of warnings, apparently for the purpose of caste promotion. Compare my note just above. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Vaidyabrahmin edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Vaidyabrahmin. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Baidya. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Baidya. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Ekdalian (talk) 07:32, 25 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

November 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Hemanthah. I noticed that you recently removed content from Sen without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Last warning edit

Dr.SunBD, removing appropriate content from a disambiguation page without explanation, as per the post above, is extremely disruptive. It is also disruptive to edit completely without edit summaries, which means that you basically never explain anything. You are close to being indefinitely blocked. To avoid this, start using edit summaries right now. See Help:Edit summary for explanations and advice. Also stop adding unsourced content, as here. And after all your disruptive editing at Vaidyabrahmin, I hope you're not even thinking about changing it back from a redirect. Bishonen | tålk 08:59, 25 November 2021 (UTC).Reply

Blocked edit

I notice that just an hour after I warned you above against un-redirecting the non-viable POV fork Vaidyabrahmin, you tried an end run by recreating the article under a different name, Vaidya Brahman. That's the last straw. You have been blocked indefinitely for persistent disruptive editing and never-ending attempts to get round our rules. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
