Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. INFORMATION edit

I wanted to know about the criteria to have special authorities given to some editors on wikipedia. I have not done much edits like many other editors but is there any minimum edits criteria or am I eligible for any of them as it would do a lot of help in editing. It's around five months since I have joined :) Dpshmrt (talk)

From your edit count, you're definitely an autoconfirmed user. This will allow you to make edits on just about any page. There are a few exceptions, mainly pages that experience high levels of vandalism (which are often only edited by Admins), but otherwise you should be good! If you want more info about user levels, check out WP:UAL. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:53, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Saumya Tandon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Derek O'Brien. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

TOOLS INFORMATION edit

I want some information about various tools available on Wikipedia to the editors for their convenience.I read about a few like stiki, furme, autowikibrowser, wpcleaner etc.So I want to know whether I can use any of them or not and if it's yes ,then how can I use it .Please guide me through the Procedure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dpshmrt (talkcontribs) 13:02, 8 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

You can find about about them by typing "Wikipedia:" in the search box followed by the name of the one you are interested in. That will get you to description pages like WP:STiki, WP:FurMe, WP:AWB etc. which will tell you about them. JohnCD (talk) 13:53, 8 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict)Hello Dpshmrt, there are several helpful tools that many people can use, like Twinkle(TW), Autowiki Browser(AWB), WPCleaner or STIKI. I have noticed that almost all of your edits have been from a mobile device so the twinkle option may be the best bet as it is only a setting in your preferences and carries no extra restrictions on it. The others require a separate download and normally require a computer to operate, AWB even has restrictions with time served and number of edits to be approved for it's use. I hope this helps. Delay in Response to my request edit

Earlier I made a request to change the honorific suffix at the page "Narendra Modi" but nobody has still responded to it and that's a different case but now I have noted another error that while typing his name in the search box it shows "President of India" under his name inspite of what he is actually i.e."Prime Minister of India".kindly make these changes soon as all these errors makes the people lose confidence on Wikipedia. Dpshmrt (talk) 07:32, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

  •   Helped Please wikilink to articles mentioned. (a) You posted on Talk:Narendra Modi 04:01, your above post is from 07:32, AusLondonder answered on Talk:Narendra Modi 08:48. We have no deadline. (b) When I type "Narendra Modi" I do not see anything about President of India. Sam Sailor Talk! 10:06, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sam Sailor,

Thanks for responding and you didn't see it because I think that error was rectified before your response. And I know there is no deadline but my earlier queries were answered quite earlier than I thought they would be and this time it was too delay, that's why I pointed to that.

Reverts on Microsoft article edit

Hello, Dpshmrt! I see that you reverted the Microsoft article back to an older revision. Could you please elaborate on your reasons? As you may have seen in the summary of my edit, the current revision is outdated. It also contains copyediting issues. Thank you. Eprillios (talk) 13:37, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Eprillios,

Sorry for the delay in response and I agree that the revision contains outdated information but the reason for reversion is that the source cited by the editor for all the changes they made was simply the Microsoft's homepage (microsoft.com) which according to me is not a proper citation. In spite of this, a source where all these structural changes are mentioned would be better.

Earlier I did not know about the changes but after searching a lot I came to know about that.So please provide a proper citation and then you can revert back the changes I made to the previous version.Dpshmrt (talk) 06:32, 30 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

No problem, Dpshmrt. I have found various news articles describing the changes, but I have yet to find a source integrally describing the internal company structure of Microsoft. I believe the investor relations homepage of Microsoft is valid as a primary source, but I am unexperienced in Wikipedia editing. I will watch the article in the coming days to see if the matter gets resolved. Have a good day! Eprillios (talk) 19:57, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
