Speedy deletion nomination of Rollies Coaster
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rollies Coaster requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. William Thweatt TalkContribs 18:16, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Including templates in articles
editHi Dplcrnj. FYI, if you want to include a template (e.g. {{Code Lyoko}}) in an article, you shouldn't just copy the template code and paste it in the article, instead, you should transclude the template, like this: {{Code Lyoko}}. I have fixed List of Code Lyoko Evolution episodes and Code Lyoko Evolution. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Regards. Hackensack Christian School
editThe article for Hackensack Christian School needs to include material that is encyclopedic and that is backed up by reliable and verifiable sources. Material added this morning includes "In the past 8 years Hackensack Christian School has progressed highly. In the past years the English program has improved highly it is now at its top. All of the subjects have improved tremendously ,but the English program has improved the most. In the 2011-2012 Junior Academic Day the School got the highest scores." and "The majority of students that graduate have gone to college and gotten a degree." Scores have progressed highly compared to what? What is English at the top of and by what measure has it improved the most? On what basis have the majority of students been shown to graduate from college? There is a core of an encyclopedic article, but this is an example of unsourced puffery that cannot be included in an article. Please ensure that all material is backed by sources that are reliable and verifiable to meet Wikipedia standards. Alansohn (talk) 15:06, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- You're new, you're trying to an expand an article that needs to be expanded, but Wikipedia has policies that guide what may be added and what sources are needed. Please understand that I and other editors are trying to help guide you to improve the article, explaining what can be included and how this needs to be backed up with appropriate references. Please review these comments and the edit summaries that other editors have left and please attempt to integrate this guidance into your edits to this article. Alansohn (talk) 17:16, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- This edit, with the summary "Note: Personal expirience of getting the most awards Award." is the very defintion of content that violates Wikipedia policy forbidding original research and will be removed. You cannot include content based on your own personal knowledge; you must use reliable and verifiable sources.
- This revert reinserted an amorphous statement about awards, and has the edit summary "The award for most awards means that they got the most awards for Art projects, Musical Performances, Drama Performances, Recitals, and Solos in NJ GSACS". I assume that GSACS is the Garden State Association of Christian Schools and the edit summary is better than what's in the article. If you can find a reliable and verifiable source from a newspaper or magazine to support the claim you may well have added some encyclopedic content. Where is the source for this claim? - WP:RS is the name of the game, Dplcrnj. I found one that mentioned the school and added it to the article, but whatever else is in there, especially if it's not simply factual information, needs a reference to a reliable source. If you or anyone else kept a file folder with newspaper clippings, now's the time to pull it out: sources don't necessarily have to be online. Drmies (talk) 22:29, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:RC-48 at Morey's Piers.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:RC-48 at Morey's Piers.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:29, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Jumbo Jet (Six Flags Great Adventure)
editOn 13 September 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jumbo Jet (Six Flags Great Adventure), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that of the two roller coasters in New Jersey named "Jumbo Jet"—one closed without a single rider, and another was sold for two rail cars of ketchup to a Soviet amusement park (pictured)? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

editThanks for uploading File:Morey's Piers logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mariners Landing Pier 1985 era.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Mariners Landing Pier 1985 era.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:42, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Garden State Association of Christian Schools
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Garden State Association of Christian Schools requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
Stuartyeates (talk) 06:52, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
The article Eastern Christian Elementary School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Elementary schools are not usually considered notable enough to be subjects of articles, and no reason has been given to regard this one as exceptional.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:41, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SummerPhD (talk) 01:54, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of First Baptist Church of Hackensack
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on First Baptist Church of Hackensack requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Eeekster (talk) 02:31, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Hackensack Christian Schools logo.png)
editThanks for uploading File:Hackensack Christian Schools logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:16, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 15
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hackensack Christian School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Winant Avenue Bridge
editWhile no references support your name change, I do believe that in local parlance the bridge is likely known as the Winant Avenue Bridge. Having done that though you have now made the introduction paragraph kind of silly. Would you mind having a look and fixing it? Thanks Djflem (talk) 23:10, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Pirillo Vlog
editHello Dplcrnj,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pirillo Vlog for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Gareth E Kegg (talk) 23:02, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Hackensack Christian School has been reverted.
Your edit here to Hackensack Christian School was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/hcsinfo) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link.
