DbForge Studio for MySQL

edit

Hello and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I recently reverted some edits that you made to DbForge Studio for MySQL, and I wanted to explain why. For one, it is not necessary to give the full URL on an internal link. In this case, Devart. goes to the exact same place as Devart. So there, we just need to "pipe" the link instead of including the URL. The other part of the reversion was because of the insertion of external links in the body of the article. Per WP:ELPOINTS, these should be avoided. Additionally, placing them like that makes it appear that we are encouraging readers to visit the website, which is not our goal. I see that you haven't been around too long. I know that our manual of style and guidelines can be quite overwhelming until you've gotten the hang of them, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll do my best to help. Cheers and happy editing! Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 16:18, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello again. I've replied on my talk page. It can be found at User talk:Apparition11#Devart. If you have anymore questions, then feel free to ask! I may not always be the most help, but I never care to try :) Cheers! Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 12:41, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

how to merge 2 articles?

please help me merge two articles I've created. They are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devart_company and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devart_(company). I requested to merge it 2 months ago and still haven't got no answers. Please send me the answer to my email: len4ikpost@gmail.com as it is difficult to track your answers.

My boss searched the wikipedia and there were 2 results in the Search box - Devart company and Devart (company). That's because I first created the topic and then failed to rename it and created another with a new namb but same content. Now my boss wants to see only one article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devart_(company) and no redirect page. How can I do this?

And one more question - can I rename the page? For example, to remove company from the page name --Creative Docsmaker (talk) 15:54, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's a valid redirect, so we have no reason to get rid of it. We have redirects to help find topics easily. You could list at WP:RfD I guess. You can usually request that a page you created be deleted, but I don't really see a valid reason to delete this one. I think to rename it to Devart, you would need to request it at WP:RM, as a sysop would be needed to do it. Further, if you have a conflict of interest, you really should not edit the articles in which you have a conflict, instead, it is best to use the talk page. I don't see anything that you've done wrong at this point, so please don't think that I'm condemning you or anything, just wanting to let you know. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Devart

edit

The article Devart has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:COMPANY - the only secondary source is a Microsoft press release briefly mentioning its (previous) name as one of ten companies to be using ADO.NET.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
