Speedy deletion nomination of Summer Brielle Taylor edit

Hello Doom1649,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Summer Brielle Taylor for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. – S. Rich (talk) 23:24, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Spiders (developer) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Spiders (developer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AnupMehra 08:59, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The usual criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia is explained here. Very basically, we only summarise information that's already published in reliable sources that're independent of the subject. We do this to ensure both that our information is verifiable, and that it can be written neutrally. If you have any questions, please ask. Cheers, WilyD 10:29, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
I restored the content to User:Doom1649/Spiders (developer). Once you're satisfied, you can move it back to the mainspace. Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and Wikipedia:Notability explain what kind of sources are useable in Wikipedia, and the standard inclusion criterion. But the evaluation of sources is a discussion process, not a speedy process (which is to say, no one person will make a determination of whether they're good enough or not). Cheers, much appreciated. Doom1649
While you're working on a draft, you shouldn't add it to categories. You can list them as [[:Category:Monkeys who love bananas]] to include them on the draft without adding them to the cats, then remove the colon once they're in the mainspace. WilyD 11:19, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
