Re edit

The article makes no assertion of notability right now. Please read that, as well as WP:BAND. If the band has done something notable, then of course add it in and it won't be speedily deleted. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 06:23, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

RE edit

I have added more information. Thank you that you finally removed the template. Thanks; I will provide more information since I am still on it.Dominiquewikki (talk) 07:12, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a ton!!!! I have to say; I found the idea of writing an article rather daunting, and I waited about 10 1/2 months to create my first (and only, to date) article, Noh Poe. I'm glad that you were able to do it on your first try; I hope you like it here. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 07:28, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Your Dispute edit

Hi Dominiquewikki, I saw your post in my page and looked over the dispute you are involved in. I have some comments and advice for you.

If someone reverts you then don't be in a hurry to term it as "possible vandalism". In all cases, you have to assume good faith, that is believe that everyone is well-meaning and is contributing positively even if they don't agree with what you say.

Disparaging remarks about sex or age are not considered acceptable behaviour in Wikipedia. While editing in Wikipedia, it is important to be civil. How would you like it if female editors questioned your judgement only for the reason that you are male? It is rude to infer that an editor does not have good judgement just because that editor may be a female.

As far as the dispute is concerned, in the case of many articles, or edits, people may have different views. They can indicate this opposition to an edit by reverting. In such a case, there is a need for discussion on the talk page and evolving of a consensus. Only if consensus is reached can the proposed edit go ahead. Reaching a consensus requires much discussion. It would involve compromise. Many times, consensus cannot be reached. Like, in your case, your idea that template:infobox music festival needs a particular colour may not be shared by others. In that case, you cannot proceed with that edit. You have to work to get consensus and either achieve it, or compromise, or if nobody agrees with you, then drop the matter and go onto other work.

There is a lot of work still needed in Wikipedia, so don't let this one issue affect you. Do go on editing, in a civil manner and always assuming good faith. Like in normal life, everything does not happen exactly as we want it.

Feel free to approach me again if you want to. AshLin (talk) 02:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
