Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nick-D (talk) 09:01, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for adding large numbers of links to an external website (albeit a potentially useful website) without discussing this or providing a reason. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Henry Allingham

edit

May I ask why you reverted my linking to HA's actual service record back to the page that contains a link to it? Surely it is better to go to the actual record itself. Hopefully that document will be incorporated into the article as a reference, thereby making the link redundant. Mjroots (talk) 12:21, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I changed the link becuase allingham's record is now available FREE OF CHARGE from the documentsonline website- the new link points to this free download. The old link points to the same record, however the user needs to pay £3.50 to see it. can you please change the link back to

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/royal-navy-service.asp#research . thank you.
