Hello, Dolphinsafari, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Do take care to avoid advertising. Your suggestion at the Dolphin talk page is ideal and allows others to decide on the best use of your pictures. Welcome to Wikipedia. The username you've picked and your contributions appear to represent a group, organization or website, so I blocked this username per our username policy, but don't let that discourage you: please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual, and please edit as yourself, not as a representative of this group, organization or website. If I can help you with anything, please log in to your new account and ask on my talk page. Thanks for your understanding. - Dank (push to talk) 14:26, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I'm submitting this unblock request for this user, based on the email I received, below. - Dank (push to talk) 03:05, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

When you first signed up for this account, you agreed to the rules and policies - just like the millions of other editors. The key ones in this case are a) an account cannot be shared between multiple people, and b) the account name cannot give the impression of belonging to an organization. These may appear to you as "pedantic", but they apply to the entire Wikipedia community as a whole. While your passion and knowledge are exactly what Wikipedia is interested in, we do have to hold you to the same standards as we hold all other editors (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:07, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You blocked me because of my username? Why?

Dolphin Safari is more than just an organisation, it is a very small business. I've made contributions of photographs taken by my husband and put them on wikipedia, photographs that would not have been made available on wikipedia without us.

We both work at Dolphin Safari but it is also a passion for us, our interest, we have stuff to share with the rest of the world, we are not spammers or trolls and we are well known both by name and nickname of Dolphinsafari.

I resent that I am not allowed to be honest about who I am and share my passion with the rest of the world and I do not want to choose another username because this is who I am and this is what I am about.

If you cannot respect that, aside from pedantic Wiki policies, then I'd like to go to arbitration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dolphinsafari (talkcontribs)

I understand your intentions, which are not bad, but unfourtunately (yes, some of the policies are a pain in the butt), your username can give the impression of representing Dolphinsafari. Maybe you can add a small modification to denote yourself? I hope we can get this resolved. Thekillerpenguin (talk) 04:49, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
