Your edits to Alaska state senator articles edit
Hi. It appears you may be a new user. I see you're making numerous edits which may be problematic. This happens every so often, but I really don't have time to change every article affected every time it comes up. In general, please read Template talk:Infobox officeholder#RfC on successor/predecessor where a district is not reasonably viewed as the same after redistricting for background, as well as consensus that existing practices have created a problem. The template has a parameter to accommodate a change in district designator without an accompanying change in constituency. This is explained in the template's documentation.
You appear to be wiping any mention of districts prior to the most recent redistricting. If I was strictly concerned with what legislators are currently doing, there's plenty of other places I can visit on the web to read their press releases and news stories. Unfortunately, while there exists ample explanation of what Wikipedia is not, there's nothing really explaining what an encyclopedia is not. I'll use Bert Stedman as an example. While it is correct that Stedman has represented District Q since last year, it's also noteworthy enough to be of encyclopedic value that Stedman spent nearly a decade as the senator representing District A, and that Governor Murkowski appointed him to the seat to replace Robin Taylor. Your edits appear to marginalize and/or misrepresent that. Stedman lives in Sitka, while Ton Wagoner lives in Kenai. Not only are they not part of the same constituency and never have been, there is substantial physical distance between the two places.
