Username policy edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Company/group names - Eustachio Divini. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

  • If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.

I don't know if you have understood the reason why I (Alfredo Tifi) have chosen that username Divini. I'm writing this voice in wikipedia using contributes of the students and other teachers of my school, that is ITIS "Eustachio Divini". If it is not possible I'll change accessing with my nickname, tifialf. Waiting for your reply, Divini (talk) 23:21, 7 July 2009 (UTC) (alias Alfredo Tifi)Reply

Thank you. LouriePieterse 13:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Because Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Using Wikipedia for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our policies about this.

In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If instead you believe that you have been blocked by mistake (i.e., you have not in fact been using Wikipedia for promotional purposes), please write {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. Cirt (talk) 13:59, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{Unblock on hold|blocking administrator|2=never minded to promote any corporation or institute for which I work. Only make a service for information about normal wikipedia history voices: Eustachio_Divini (a biography on science history); Septempeda (history of an ancient town of Roman age; San_Severino_Marche: added an history section (in progress) of the city. Where is the promotion and promotion of what??? Alternative name: Itisdivini. I can understand the edit for which I was blocked only if you communicate them to me. Otherwise I cannot imagine any reasonable explanation. If I were unblocked, my intention is to continue editing the wiki pages I have already created and edited, all about San Severino Marche and its history, using free and controlled study contributes from the institute to which I belong. I believe you should just explain to me why this should be denied to me. Thanks)|4=I left a message for the blocking admin. –xenotalk 15:09, 22 July 2009 (UTC)}}Reply

Role accounts are not allowed, are you the only one who uses this username? –xenotalk 15:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok I acknowledge that role names are forbidden. Only me (Alfredo Tifi, aias user Tifialf) have used that user name Divini till now because my school is in summer vacation, but I were hoping on the possibility to share that user from September with other students and teachers. I formally renounce to this aim and I confirm you that you can definitively drop out user Divini, provided this cancellation don't causes any interference with the articles added under that user. Proposed deletion of Gualberto Piangatelli edit

The article Gualberto Piangatelli has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No RIS found in search.
