Orphaned non-free media (File:Dubai Fashion Week.png) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Dubai Fashion Week.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:40, 9 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Donald d'Emmerez de Charmoy edit

The article Donald d'Emmerez de Charmoy has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Uberaccount (talk) 20:22, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

The article exists in French. Some people do not even check before proposing for deletion, just because they think to know everythink.

Use of Sources edit

I think you need to read WP:V. It doesn't matter what you or I "know" about any article, it needs to be referenced to reliable third party sources. In addition, I would also suggest that you cast your eye over WP:SOAP, which deals with the type of tone that should be avoided in articles, namely over-promotional, which the sections I removed I felt were. As I have requested before, if you are going to add back the bits I removed, please ensure they are referenced to reliable sources and nuetral in tone. Fenix down (talk) 14:28, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

It is a UNICEF project and there is no publicity and promotion at all except for the Kenyan youth. If there is any problem, as a moderator or someone who check if it is good or not, just rewrite the article or the part you don't feel being neutral but stop removing stuff that clearly explain why the club has been created. I repeat, CCK is a parastatal organisation and UNICEF is supporting it. And references have been added. So plase again, if you have one job to do, is to correct it not delete it.

all unreferenced elements of any article can be challenged and removed. If there is no publicity or proper sources as you should suggest then it is not verifiable and should be removed until such a time that it is. I'm not sure what there is in that that is difficult to understand. Fenix down (talk) 18:03, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

In that case, why you don't challenge what is written on Gor Mahia article regarding early days and formation. There is no promotion at all of the club, except telling people what we do, what has been done and achieved and what is the vision. It is a football club. Tell me how many football clubs on Wikipedia have all their sources verified. Nothing is difficult to understand but you apparently do not seem to understand too that sources and references are there, except probably for the support and publicity. Quick reminder, it is Kenya, all information cannot be found just like this. You duty should be to challenge it, not to remove it just because you 'think' something regarding promotion or sources. Go there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gor_Mahia_F.C. or there http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Leopards or there http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tusker_F.C. and removed sections that do not have a reference too. I live in Nairobi and the information is right.

As I said ALL unreferenced content can be challenged and removed. Just be cause one article has unsourced statements does not mean it is ok for others to have them. Please provide reliable sources and present the content in a neutral tone. The fact that you live in Nairobi and "know" that what you have written is true is irrelevant which you would know if you had read the WP:V link above. I am struggling to see how you cannot grasp this. Fenix down (talk) 07:17, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Capital Group edit

Hello Didje83. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled Capital Group.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

July 2015 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Emery Bayisenge. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. GiantSnowman 11:25, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Can you tell me who you are? Editing is one point but all birthdates are wrong. I am the Head of Marketing & Communications at FERWAFA (the Rwanda Football Federation). Check my name Jerome J. Dufourg. I know more than you what are the birthdates of the players as I am controlling their visa applications. THANKS. Please never revert again my changes when it comes to Rwandan football.

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Emery Bayisenge. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GiantSnowman 12:12, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Can you stop thinking you are above the law?! BIRTH DATES ARE WRONG!!! If someone put it there and it was never verified then you accepted it, now I am modifying them because I hold players' passports as Head of Communications of the Rwanda FA. Do you read my words or you are blind?

Wikipedia relies on reliable sources in order to verify information - this is especially important about living people. You also need to remain civil when talking to other editors. GiantSnowman 12:21, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours for disruptive editing. In addition to your disruptive editing, your edit summaries are getting more and more aggressive and owny, I think you need a short break to calm down. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Fenix down (talk) 12:24, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I remain civil when there is a proper discussion behind. What did you write? Nothing else but saying "Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Emery Bayisenge. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed." SERIOUSLY. Do you know my profile and my background? Have you at least ready anything? What is someone living in the UK know about Rwandan football more than the Head of Communications of the body controlling the national teams? THANKS. So now, be civil too, remove my blocking, revert my changes as it constitutes an accurate and acute update of what is happening to the national team of Rwanda. I always remain civil with people who have a constructed debate, not with people who just click on a button without seeing the changes.

YOU ARE ALL FUNNY.

Request reason:

I am the Head of Marketing & Communications of the Rwanda Football Federation. Following reverts from Snowman who said "Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Emery Bayisenge. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed." I removed his changed to get mine back as I know some birthdates of players are wrong. Talking about this Emery Bayisenge, if you just check two references below, it will give you two different birth dates. I handle players' passports and visa application plus all communications related to the national team. Changed made refer to future games, update of last games, current team, birth dates if they are wrong, other minor updates and all. I tolerate when I am wrong but not when someone, just because he is an administrator, uses his power to undermine to work of people like me. I am on Wikipedia since 2006 when he is an admin since 2012. I have edited minor things here and there, contributed to the development of wikipedia articles about Kenyan football when I was the CEO of FC Talanta and now as Head of department at the Rwanda FA, I think I deserve more respect than someone sitting somewhere in the UK when I am actually working for the national governing body of Rwandan football. Now revert my changes please, remove my blocking and let's move on.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
  1. understand what you have been blocked for,
  2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
  3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yunshui  13:15, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You may wish to have a reread of WP:CIVIL, in edit summaries, telling other editors to never revert your edits, as you did here, here and here amongst other places, telling other editors that you know better than them as you did here, telling other editors that they are breaking your balls as you did here and telling other editors to shut up as you did here , all within the space of about ten minutes, is not civil. Whether you "know" something to be right or not is irrelevant, you need to provide reliable sources to back up any assertions that are challenged by other editors, particularly ones like this where the NFT link, which is deemed a reliable source, had a different date than the unsourced one you added. Fenix down (talk) 12:36, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Then give me an email address and I send you the passports scan of all players... That is funny. Yes I did wrong but I have explained to not revert because YES INDEED I know more than him. Ok, good. You know what, do whatever you want. I don't care if it is no up to date. Leave it as it is. Check the two references regarding Emery Bayisenge. Just check these two. Just these. And let me know then if you did your job well before I made the changes.

Nomination of Jérôme J. Dufourg for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Jérôme J. Dufourg is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jérôme J. Dufourg until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Fenix down (talk) 12:20, 22 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Are you taking things personally after what happened yesterday and in that case do you follow Wikipedia rules? I just don't understand your behavior.

I have nothing to take personally, you were blocked because of an appalling attitude towards other editors in your edit summaries. This block was reviewed by an uninvolved admin, who did not deem it appropriate to revoke. The best place to discuss the notability of this article is here, that is the best place for you to make claims regarding notability. I have made my rationale quite clear. In case it is not clear to you, to summarise: I am very concerned that an article has been created which provides a veneer of notability to reliable sources, but in fact contains a large number of sources which either do not even mention the subject or where the subject is mentioned only as an individual providing quotes about an entirely unrelated matter. I will make no further comment on this subject anywhere other than at the AfD page. Fenix down (talk) 12:31, 22 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Proposed deletion of 2013 FC Talanta season edit

The article 2013 FC Talanta season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article fails WP:NSEASONS. Individual club season articles are only appropriate for clubs in "top professional leagues". The club in questions was playing in the second tier of a league system lacking any form of fully professional competition, so the second tier cannot realistically be considered a "top professional league". No indication of significant, reliable, non-routine coverage to satisfy GNG.
