Columbia's Historic Properties edit

Hey Dianna, are you by chance the same person who created this wonderful website?[1] Thank you, for correcting David Guitar's erroneous info. Grey Wanderer (talk) 22:39, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your help. I don't know if this is the proper way to reply to you. I can't seem to figure out how to use talk. I think I might have re-edited what you edited, and I apologize. I just wanted to include that the proper citation was used, the wrong conclusion was made. Also, that Dorrance Ward renamed the house and he was a fiction writer, not a historian. Thanks for your help in sorting this out. By the way, I have contacted the state office SHPO and was told they cannot correct the NRHP, so I'm sure the myth will continue. Again, thank you. David Guitar House edit

Hello, and thank you for trying to update the information at David Guitar House. However, I have removed your additions for the time being, due to formatting and other issues which I explained in my edit summary. If you feel the facts of the article need updating, this may warrant a discussion on the article's talk page, which you will find here. If I can help with anything (formatting or anything else), please ket me know. Thanks. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:28, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Surely some questionable formatting is preferable to inaccurate information? I've restored the correction with some formatting fixes. Thanks Grey Wanderer (talk) 18:25, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
I completely agree, but if you'll see my edit summary there, the changes in question left the page largely unreadable, and the text contradicted itself. I appreciate your reinstating the info. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 19:36, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Diannaobrien, I have again removed some of your recent edits on this article. As I said in my edit summary, I have no objection to the content you're adding, but it needs to be Wiki-standard, and readable. Your edits added a ton of punctuation, grammar, style, and formatting errors.
For instance, I have changed the opening sentence several times. What you keep submitting reads: "The Guitar House, also was known as Confederate Hill..." "Also was known as" makes no sense in that sentence. You have a "sites"/"cites" error, and several instances of broken formatting, which cause your text and citations to display wrongly, impairing the readability of the page.
I am happy to work with you on this, but I would appreciate it if you wouldn't just keep resubmitting the same text with the same errors. Thanks. Jessicapierce (talk) 19:48, 4 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I hope this is the right way to reply. I appreciate your help Jessicapierce. I am sorry for messing up the entry. I am willing to try to edit the entry for the Guitar House now and do it carefully. Can you guide me to a link/place where I can learn whatever I need to learn to edit the entry correctly? Thank you, diannaobrien
