Request reason:
Dear Distinguished Administrator, I'm writing to appeal a block on my account dating from 2021. When I was younger, I vandalised the Wikipedia page of Her Majesty Queen Camilla, and amended her name to a cruel nickname that is commonly used to mock her in the British press. At the time, I thought this was funny and would do no harm, but now that I am older, I can see that not only is this not at all acceptable for the following reasons: - It is very harmful as it demeans another person whom I have never met and thus have no right to pass any judgement on, - It harms the Wikipedia community as vandalising articles defames the image of Wikipedia and, ultimately can put people off availing of an extremely valuable resource, without which many people would not have access to free, unbiased information about a vast array of topics. Since my vandalism of the article, I have taken the time to research and educate myself regarding the life and work of The Queen, and have come to deeply admire and respect Her Majesty for her activism surrounding Violence against Women and Girls. While I may personally oppose the system of monarchy, I accept that defaming a person and vandalising a public resource is not the correct forum to make my voice heard. I sincerely regret my actions and understand now, through 3 years of personal growth, that what I did was wrong and an abuse of my privellige to edit Wikipedia articles. I understand and accept fully the consequences of my actions and would understand entirely if my appeal was rejected. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope this has found you safe and well. Dianaareginaa (talk) 23:30, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:36, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
What edits do you want to make? 331dot (talk) 07:38, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
It's not that I necesarrily want to make edits, it just that I'd like the option to make them if I felt that an article could be improved. Thanks :) Dianaareginaa (talk) 19:34, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- No checkuser evidence of block evasion. --Yamla (talk) 11:55, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- There's no reason to remove the block if you have no edits you want to make, as blocks only prevent editing. To remove the block, there needs to be some benefit to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 19:49, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for getting back to me - I believe there could be a benefit to Wikipedia. If I see something that could be improved, I would have the option to improve it, if something wasn't accurate or could be added to. Additionally, there are a number of topics that I am knowledgable about that have pages/articles that are a work in progress or don't have articles, I believe I could provide useful knowledge to these articles, thus benefiting the readers. I do hope this clears up my intentions, and I do understand and will respect whatever outcome you see fit. Be well! Dianaareginaa (talk) 20:00, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi, I'm requesting again that I be unblocked, as detailed in my above request, I made a stupid mistake that I really regret. And there are a number of articles that i would like to make contributions to, topics such as languages and Spanish politics. I also speak a number of languages and would like to assist in translating articles, I would love to do this as it is a passion of mine. I would also like to change my username as it contains my name, but I am unable to due to my block. I do hope you will consider my request once again and recognise that I truly feel remorse for vandalising a Wikipedia article 3 years ago, I would love to be given the opportunity to prove my sincerity and real desire to help the community in making information accessible to all. Thank you. Dianaareginaa (talk) 21:20, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

Given that the blocking admin is inactive and another admin also appears willing to give you a second chance, I've unblocked your account.Ponyobons mots 20:32, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ponyo: Thank you so so much. I really appreciate the second chance so much. Be well!
- @Widr: - how do you feel about a possible unblock? PhilKnight (talk) 12:00, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
@PhilKnight: I’m not sure if this was directed towards me, but I would love to be given the opportunity for an unlock. Thanks :) Dianaareginaa (talk)
@PhilKnight: Hi, I´m only back to let you know that I published a Spanish translation of an article on Wikipedia. I hope this is not viewed as block evasion as I only wish to demonstrate how I want to help the community. Thank you :) Dianaareginaa (talk) 22:25, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
