License tagging for Image:Roosevelt.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Roosevelt.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia edit

Hi Desty22. Your article on Lincon High School is not appropriate material for Wikipedia. It contains highly detailed information that was cut and pasted from the school's official documents. This is not the kind of content you would find in an encyclopedia. Also, it may violate the school's copyright. This message is only to point out why your article is probably going to be deleted, so that your future contributions to Wikipedia can be more fulfilling. In particular, we would love to see an article about your school -- however, it should contain notable, interesting, encyclopedic information that does not violate copyright. See University of Michigan for an excellent (though long) example. The following pages can help you: The Five Pillars of Wikipedia, What Wikipedia Is Not, and Your First Article. Thanks much!
