Mandy Moore edit

Under Wikipedia:External links, it says : "On articles about topics with many fansites, including a link to one major fansite is appropriate, marking the link as such." The site that was linked to allowed us to use the header picture from their web site, "in exchange" for a link to their site. Since it doesn't violate any Wiki policy, I don't see the problem with having the one link there. Mad Jack 21:15, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah, part of the pleasure of working on celebrity pages is deleting nonsense, including something like 10 fansites that you sometimes find linked to. :) Mad Jack 21:26, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Portugese edit

Just wanted to let you know "Portugese" is spelled "Portuguese". I'm not complaining about your edits, oh no! Just giving a fellow wikipedian a tip =D --mboverload@ 01:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

AmandaPlease edit

Just explaining something: http://www.amandaplease.com is not a fansite. It is a promotional website for The Amanda Show, "created by" Penelope Taynt, a fictional character. The site was created and maintained by Nickelodeon. It is perfectly appropriate for The Amanda Show article; however, I agree that it shouldn't be on the Amanda Bynes article, as the site is about the show, not the person. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
