June 2015 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place for blogging or promotion. So please do not try to use Wikipedia to promote yourself or your family, band, product, company or theories. The subjects of our articles have to meet certain notability requirements and be written from a neutral point of view. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time, even if it's on your user page. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. In particular Wikipedia is not a place for primary research.  —SMALLJIM  14:15, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

The barriers to new theories being read by interested parties remain high even in wikipedia. I understand your procedural issues, I just find it sad that people decide to erase scientific knowledge without bothering to read the material.Derenek (talk) 14:51, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Just like every other website that allows user contributions, we are only allowed to add content according to the site's rules – and they are quite specific on this matter. Thanks for your understanding. OK if I delete the Vortex Science page?  —SMALLJIM  14:59, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Derenek, more specifically, this is an encyclopedia not a place for research papers. Instead, your article appears to be original research, which is prohibited. I encourage you to read over Wikipedia's five pillars before creating another article. Tiptoety talk 19:47, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
