Hello, I'm Grabup. I noticed that you recently removed content from BPP University without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at BPP University. Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see the Introduction to Wikipedia, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: BPP University was changed by Deputy Dean at BPP (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.952518 on 2024-06-28T14:57:01+00:00

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Deputy Dean at BPP", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because role accounts are not allowed. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you for your disclosure. However what is unclear with such an account is the ownership of the account. Is it owned and solely used by the deputy dean themself? Or is it owned but delegated to their staff? In the event of change of the deputy dean, who owns the the account, the former deputy dean or the new deputy dean? For specific applicable policy, see WP:ISU. – robertsky (talk) 16:33, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

BPP University merge proposal

edit

You need to officially propose the merger at WP:PM rather than talking to yourself about it then acting unilaterally.   – Skywatcher68 (talk) 15:43, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username for this account instead, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be in use by another account. You can use this page to search the list of registered accounts and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If your search returns that "there is no global account for [your search term]", that means it is available.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 18:08, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

to represent my personal views within the context of disclosing my employer

Decline reason:

We aren't interested in your personal views here. Nor have you disclosed your employer. I'm not at all sure why you think we'd want your personal views during the mandatory disclosure process. Yamla (talk) 11:39, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Yamla Eh... Her userpage unequivocally states the position/employment though, even if it is not the standard userbox?
@Deputy Dean at BPP In any case, please use {{UserboxCOI|<Wikipedia article of employer>}} on your userpage per WP:DISCLOSE for the standard disclosure. – robertsky (talk) 11:59, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Yamla
Would you be more comfortable with JaneHouston at BPP? My objective here is to improve the overall quality of BPP-related articles in line with Wikipedia guidelines. I am currently unable to edit by userpage but do disclose my employer there and thanks @robertsky for the guidance to improve that.
With thanks Deputy Dean at BPP (talk) 12:47, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your feedback on my request to unblock my account. As mentioned, I’m currently unable to edit my userpage, or communicate on your Talk page due to being blocked. Are you able to temporarily remove my block so I can make this edit? I’d also like to reiterate that I have no plans to make any direct changes to any page associated with my employer. I plan to use the Talk pages to suggest potential edits in partnership with the Wikipedia community. Deputy Dean at BPP (talk) 14:08, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
