Speedy deletion nomination of Scrape.it edit

Hello Depta99,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Scrape.it for deletion, because it seems to be an promotion, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Dewritech (talk) 08:56, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:48, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

April 2013 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 15:58, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia isn't a place for you to promote your personal projects: your comments on other users' talkpages ("hence it's imperative that I get the community's help on building a free open source solution", " I'm just trying to open source a personal project of mine so that it can benefit those seeking an FOSS screen scraping solution" and "I am trying to get a free open source solution to the hands of consumers for non profit") indicate that your intention is to use Wikipedia for that purpose. It doesn't matter whether money is being made: promotion is not acceptable on Wikipedia. Acroterion (talk) 15:59, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
