Dennis Raphael edit

A tag has been placed on Dennis Raphael, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please write {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mr. Darcy talk 19:21, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for Image:Image.pix.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Image.pix.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. AfD Nomination: Dennis Raphael edit

An editor has nominated the article Dennis Raphael for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dennis Raphael. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Dennis Raphael during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Requesting deletion? edit

Prof. Raphael: I noticed that you blanked the article you wrote about yourself, which makes me think you might be requesting that we delete the article. If that's the case, just put the following template at the top of the article: {{db-author}}. That indicates that the author and primary editor of an article is requesting that it be deleted. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you. | Mr. Darcy talk 16:24, 25 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Self-promotion on Wikipedia edit

You have recently edited pages including Poverty in Canada to personally promote yourself and your work. Please cease and desist from doing this immediately. This is in violation of Wikipedia policy.

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Social determinants of health, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 21:09, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

SDOH edit

Hi Dennis. I have been working on the SDOH page, trying to make it compliant to Wikipedia standards. I know how passionate you are about this topic, so I want to ensure it stays on Wikipedia. I use the SDOH in my own work, and so I do have an interest. As you have experienced some Wiki users can be harsh to new users. I am wondering if the SDOH page should remove the theory sections for now, as it is a little long. Cheers. BoomerAB (talk) 15:50, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

June 2009 edit

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Social determinants of health, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. prashanthns (talk) 03:28, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

November 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Social determinants of health. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. With regard to POV and similar templates, please discuss the matter on the talk page and be sure that the discussion has reached consensus. Allens (talk) 13:49, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

December 2011 edit

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Social determinants of health. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. I suggest not shouting "ARE YOU FROM THIS PLANET?" or similar phrases in the future. Allens (talk) 00:41, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Social determinants of health, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. Allens (talk) 13:46, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

March 2012 edit

Your recent editing history at Social determinants of health shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Allens (talk | contribs) 01:43, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Dennisraphael. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Social determinants of health, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Please refrain from promoting your books via Wikipedia. This is a rather obvious conflict of interest. Allens (talk | contribs) 02:15, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
