Welcome! edit

Hello, Dendoc01, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

feedback on copyvio edit

Hi Dendoc01, I wanted to let you know that your edits to American Iron and Steel Institute were undone because you introduced plagiarism to the article. Contributions to articles cannot be copy-pasted from a source, nor closely paraphrased with only a few substitutions. Edits must be put in your own words to avoid issues with copyright laws. I know that your course has ended, but if you plan on sticking around and continuing to edit, you should review the Wiki Education Foundation training on copyvio and plagiarism.
