Username now full company name?

edit

Hi, thanks for the tips. I changed the name to the full company name Democrawonk Media. Does that satisfy the naming convention? Thanks for your help. Democrawonk (talk) 11:53, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, that won't be enough as it still is a username that represents the name of a company. Acceptable would be something like "(Your first name)atDemocrawonkMedia".
Also for the link you keep inserting to the List of satirical news websites. For it to be acceptable it needs it own article on wikipedia to prove it's notability. Nobody (talk) 12:44, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can I ask, sites like Adequacy.org or The Babylon Bee are using their brand name as it is their site and company as well. Is it that they have pages set up that they are able to do that? How am I able to display our name like Babylon or Adequacy does? Thanks again for your help! Democrawonk (talk) 12:49, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
You would need to create a article for that. Here's some really useful information about that: Your first article.
You can start by creating this draft (Draft:Democrawonk Media) and adding sourced information.
Important to understand is that companies don't own these articles and anyone can edit them. Nobody (talk) 12:56, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Listen, I have no idea who you are, if this is your job or just a passion, but regardless, I appreciate your help. I will make that page and hopefully it will done correctly. thank you again. Democrawonk (talk) 13:12, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Most editors on Wikipedia are volunteers that edit in their free time, or as a hobby. Helping new editors understanding Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines that apply to them is part of that. There's also no need to rush as there is no deadline. You can just work on your draft over time until it's ready. Nobody (talk) 13:22, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
