Delighted eyes
Hiya, I just thought that I would set off my own talk page. Feel free to have a go if you like as long as it is in th' best interests of the information seeking public. I do my best and I will definately edit things which I feel are discriminatory or totaly misleading. That said I mostly like to go for discussion first, on the whole I like to add to this place rather than delete so asking for sources/referances is another thing I like to do first. I love discusion and talk pages so this is mine. Be kind or I might have to edit you lol Delighted eyes
Add your comments under neath here thanks

Hi Thank you for the welcome although i have been here a while now. Very nice to be recognised though I like barnstars to by the way. Anyway, see u around Delighted eyes 03:41, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- You may have been here a while, but your user account looks new, so I figured a welcome was in order. Oh, and I like your collection of userboxes. I only disagree with one, but it's not the one about live search. Cheers! —Travistalk 03:48, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Is it the one about British English lol Delighted eyes 03:54, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ha! No, I'm relatively proficient with that variety of English. I imagine that it has something to do with my gender, but I don't rule out the use of violence in certain situations. Case in point: [1] Prison is too good for this monster. (The fact that I have there children may have something to do with my attitude as well.) —Travistalk 11:58, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- I totally dispize anybody who can do anything like that to another living breathing person or animal. However, I could not advocate violence but definately prison. I am very glad that there is a wiki project keeping an eye on sensitive articles relating to this very sensitive subject. Perhaps I could find a userbox not quite so extreme like 'except in some cercumstances' on the violence subject expecially after seeing some of the disgusting vandalism on certain pages. If I could, I would make myself one. love Delighted eyes 14:48, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
WP:FANATIC
editHiya,
Thanks for leaving a comment on Wikipedia talk:Don't be a fanatic. It helps to establish how the community sees it.
You've said that it's a bit silly to tag as both, but not expressed a view or reasoning which you might think is the better. I wonder if it's possible to revisit that page and add your own view (if you happen to have one) as well?
Thanks :) FT2 (Talk | email) 10:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've added AMIB's comment to WP:DBF talk - I think it's a good one. Thoughts on it there if you like? FT2 (Talk | email) 11:17, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
NEWI
editTaking a look. Not bad at all for a mainstream article, though I'm no FA reviewer and not FA reviewing it. I've done a couple of very minor bits to it, including some cleanup, flow, and moving a sentence out of "history" and merging into intro, reordered "history", merged the overseas items, removed a little too much Wrexham-FC-cruft, and a few minor fixes.
Stuff for you: You need to clarify "and developed more networks of Universities in Africa and Asia", and location of "regent street, (town name)".
Any use? FT2 (Talk | email) 11:17, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry.
editI'm sorry, I don't know how to do this. Boricuaeddie Helped me. Sorry. James Luftan contribs 16:36, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Just thought I would tell you that a user deleted your little edition to the new Harry Potter book article (just in case she/he didn't inform you) with the edit summary: "deleted stupid comment". I sought your discussion page to tell you... I looked, briefly, through your user page (I hope you don't mind) and noticed the word 'taffy'. I don't know what a taffy is, what is a taffy? Anyway, hope you are well! ScarianTalk 02:10, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- No worries. I looked up taffy (Which I should've done in the first place before asking you and wasting your time) - and it's a pejorative slang term for Welsh people. Well... personally, I think Welsh people are nice. Have a good early morning, ma'am! ScarianTalk 02:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting back to me on my page. I believe the problem is lack of user ettiquette on their behalf. I think the problem may be that they dislike British English or that they have deleted some thing else and simply left it to look like that on the history. That said I should be being more careful with my edit summaries as nothing has changed from my last edit. Unsure what to do about it so I guess I leave it. They seem to be having an edit war over there so possibly possesivness. There was a comment in the epiloge about the Simpsons which was invisable so it is possible they have deleted that with out seeing my previous proof reading edit in that area of the page. Definately being more careful with edit summaries. Thanks again unsure of your country of origin but have a nice morning or night with love Delighted eyes 02:45, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah I know what you mean. Some people can be so rude on here! Sometimes it's funny, but then sometimes it makes me sad. Have you ever gotten into an argument on Wikipedia? Oh, btw, I live in England, so I assume it is the same time for you as it is here: 4 am! Why don't you sleep? ScarianTalk 03:12, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- You shouldn't ever back down if you are right. But you are correct in another sense. It's just not worth fighting over some words on the internet :-) "chronic insomnia and something else" - What is something else? What else is keeping you awake? Sorry lol, me being nosy again! I'm just about to make myself some tea... would you like some? hehe ScarianTalk 03:42, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Everyone gets into financial trouble at some point in their lives. It's basically a part of life. What do you work as? Bah, I'm trying to quit smoking, I'm on patches but atm I'm running around my house trying to find a ciggy 'cause I'm desperate. Missing DH? Who/what's that? Anyway, how many sugars do you want in your tea? ScarianTalk 03:58, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Awww, poor you, fillings suck. Where is dear hubby? Substance use expert/worker? Does that mean you do drugs? And sure, have as many biscuits as you want! Would you like a sandwich instead? ScarianTalk 04:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Re: NEWI
editAs a matter of courtesy to someone one has put in a lot of work on this article, I'm letting you know I have removed the entire section on "Famous people from North East Wales" as I do not believe it is relevent to the article. Survey
editHi Delighted eyes!
I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!
It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!
Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!
Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
