Proposed deletion of William Abler

edit

The article William Abler has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. WWGB (talk) 06:45, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Nanotyrannus restoration.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. mono 00:54, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! But why should they always be ready to race? Even theropods sat still and rested every once and a while ;) MMartyniuk (talk) 04:23, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, glad you like the pics! Some of them are pretty old/out of date, especially the b/w pencil drawings. I've actually started a new version of Amphicoelias and may upload a version to Wiki when I'm done. The ones that are full-on paintings though I'd prefer to keep on my site, Wiki requires a Creative Commons license so anybody can use any of the pics here for any reason as long as they give credit, but even so, can't give it all away for free! ;) MMartyniuk (talk) 22:19, 10 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nothing else on the supposed giant Utahraptor that I know of, just based on the information fond here: [1]. It was mentioned at a lecture at the 2001 Society of Vertebrate Paleontology meeting, and the abstract that went with it, but I don't think it's been heard of since. Tyrannosaurus evolutionary history

Hi, DeinonychusDinosaur999;

I see you were working with the "clade" template on Tyrannosaurus. It may be easier for you to work on the clades on a user page until they look right. See for example User:J. Spencer/Clade experiments. J. Spencer (talk) 03:34, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nanotyrannus

edit

N. lancensis means "from the Lance Formation," I believe, though it may be seen as more general, as all the latest Maastrichtian dinosaur fauna are usually referred to as "Lancian" (as opposed tp say, the older Judithian fauna corresponding to the old, broad version of the Judith River Formation. The Lance Formation used to encompass all the currently recognized K-T age formations in western North America. Today the part of the old "Lance Formation" where this particular juvenile T. rex was found is called the Hell Creek Formation. MMartyniuk (talk) 00:19, 24 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, when I Googled "Unnova," I got no hits. I then saw your user history and I restored the article in hopes it would be expanded. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:39, 27 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:13, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

You likely enabled raw signatures. Open your preferences, click the "User profile" tab, make sure that "Treat the above as wiki markup" is NOT checked, and click Save; it should be fixed. --slakrtalk / 23:28, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Tyrannosaur-Ornithimimosaur Missing link.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 26 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
