Please do not delete links from portals such as Portal:Contents/Portals/Health and fitness. Wikipedia is not censored. Many of the subjects covered are controversial. Articles are formed by a consensus of editors and are kept factual by proper sourcing. It is not legitimate to try and isolate material that you do not like by removing links to it. --Simon Speed (talk) 11:41, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think the Cannabis portal is mostly about the drug: the plant isn't that interesting. Hemp fibre is quite important, but I think that's outside the project's scope. The drug has some medical uses but the whole social/political battle centres round supposed public health issues. I don't see any better heading under which to list the portal and it should be listed under at least 1. --Simon Speed (talk) 22:29, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think you're question was a good one. On Wikipedia we're supposed to try and reach a consensus and so we try and discuss an issue in a place where most interested parties can see and join in. The portal contents discussion pages are not well visited and our talk pages won't be seen by many people. I've started a discussion on the Cannabis project talk page. Please make your points there. I hope other people will join in. --Simon Speed (talk) 23:35, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
