Speedy deletion nomination of Helpchat edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Helpchat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 22:03, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

August 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. 2601:188:0:ABE6:5D65:637D:D70A:E45F (talk) 23:43, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding non-notables to the article. If WP:COI is an issue, it's appropriate to divulge that now. 2601:188:0:ABE6:5D65:637D:D70A:E45F (talk) 00:19, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Again, please stop adding non notables and external links to the body of the article, and read Wikipedia's guidelines. Otherwise the article will prove to be more difficult to maintain than you'd like. 2601:188:0:ABE6:5D65:637D:D70A:E45F (talk) 00:34, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Winner 42. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Helpchat because it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. A word of advice regarding Helpchat edit

Ignoring the fundamental issues with the lack of sources giving significant in-depth coverage while tinkering around with minor details isn't going to make the problem go away. Without such sources, the article stands next to no chance of getting thorough a Wikipedia:Articles for deletion discussion - which I shall be starting in the next day or two if the issue isn't addressed. I suggest that you sort your priorities out - or accept that you are wasting your time. AndyTheGrump (talk) 01:52, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest. edit

I see that you have uploaded the Helpchat logo to Wikimedia Commons - asserting that it is your own work. If this is the case, I will have to ask you what your connection is with the company concerned, and whether you are aware that undisclosed paid editing is a breach of the Wikimedia Terms of Use: [1]. You should also be aware of the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines, which also apply in such cases. If you are not connected with Helpchat, I should probably point out that attempting to release their logo under a Creative Commons license, as you have done, is clearly improper - though frankly I very much doubt that they want it released under such terms anyway, since the license gives permission for reuse and modification without further consent. Nomination of Helpchat for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Helpchat is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Helpchat until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. GregJackP Boomer! 03:31, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Breach of copyright. edit

Do not under any circumstances copy-paste material from copyrighted sources into articles without attribution, as you have done with the Helpchat article. The 'History' section was clearly copied directly from http://inc42.com/features/akosha-ankur-singla/. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and contributors who act in such a manner risk being blocked from editing. For guidance as to when it is legitimate to copy brief properly-marked and direct quotations see Wikipedia:Quotations, and for further guidance on copyright issues, see Wikipedia:Copyrights.
