Stating that someone has died edit

We need good sources for such a claim, and I can't find any, so I've removed it. I hope you understand why. Doug Weller talk 18:39, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Deborah, thanks for your message. This will seem odd, but we can't use your own personal knowledge, including what you were told by someone, as a source. Please read WP:VERIFIABLE for the full explanation. Likewise we avoid using public records, including birth certificates. See WP:BLPPRIMARY. One problem is that it isn't that easy to prove that a particular public record refers to a particular individual. My full name has an unusual sequence of 3 times, but there are still quite a few people out there with it. The German Wikipedia follows slightly different policies, although I'm surprised no sources are requires. It looks as though you meet our criteria for an article, by the way. Alfred Kerr edit

In that case, please feel free to correct - or in some other way(s) improve - the wikipedia entry on him, which right now looks a tad sparse. And please. success Charles01 (talk) 11:37, 23 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
