Moral support
I'm posting here because I can't bear to post in the Oppose section.
I think the general subject of military history is one of the strengths of Wikipedia, so I want to be encouraging to anyone who wants to work in that area. As you note, Aussie coverage is weak, so that's another point in your favor. When I see "I work in Information, and web publishing, and my main drive is a love of history." my main thought is, how do we make sure to keep someone like this interested.
I looked very briefly at a couple of the articles you've created, and it reinforced my beliefs.
(As an aside though, I urge you to look at Wikipedia:Citation templates, your refs are OK, but not best practice.)
However, I am wondering, as are some others, if you have a clear understanding of the nature of being an admin.
It has nothing to do with "formatting corrections". It has something to do with disputes, but resolving disputes is a function that can and should be undertaken by non-admins, and other that the power to block, being an admin doesn't bring much to the table. More importantly, that only touches on a tiny portion of admin actions. In the past month, I have deleted thousands of old versions of images. This is exceedingly boring, but does require a knowledge of image use policy. I try to help when help is needed, but unless one is very specialized, one ought to have a broad understanding of many policies, and how things are handled. Personally, I didn't think I had a handle on that until I had 10,000 edits, and I still run into areas where I have to treat carefully, because there is a lot to learn. I simply don't think it is possible to have an adequate breadth of experience with roughly 2,000 edits. I realize your calendar time is long, and perhaps you've done a lot of reading, relative to your editing, but I didn't hear you say that.
I hope the almost inevitable result of the RfA bid doesn't discourage you. We want more people like you. I urge you to become more active - perhaps get involved in a Wikiproject such a Military or Aussie or History. Spend some time contributing to Afd (I see a few edits, but only a few) to see if this is the type of thing you like. (Although, this is not a requirement. I did, and didn't like it so I generally stay away.) Help out with CCI, an area you can work on as a non-admin, but can work more effectively as an admin. I am sorry that your RfA wasn't successful. As the first person who voted, let me give some advice to help make your RfA more successful in the future. First off, admin tools are NOT used in article creation and dispute. An admin has just as much power in discussions as other editors do. In other words, of you were an admin involved in a discussion, other editors will treat you like an editor and not an admin. Being an administrator of Wikipedia means you have an extra set of tool that allows you to edit fully protected pages, protect pages, delete pages, an block users. It also gives you many more rights to Wikipedia. It appears your focus is only on content creation and editing them. This is somewhat important to becoming an admin as it shows you know its editing policy however, it is not limited to that. If you really want to be an admin, start off by patrolling new pages, participating in WP:RFPP, WP:PERM, and so forth. Also, up the edit count. 2,700 edits in 6 years is a bit small. I hope this helps out a bit. Consult other administrators for more advice. The best one I can recommend to you is User:Xeno. Have fun and happy editing. Oh yea. Your talk page is rediculously long. I was reviewing new pages, and I noticed a lot of the text in Battle of Wareo came from [[1]]. What is the copyright status of the source text, is it public domain, or subject to copyright? Monty845 23:04, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
The text is not copied directly from that source, it has been re written using the original as source material, so copyright does not apply. If any of it is the same, and can be claimed to be copied directly, please advise and I will change it. Aren't I supposed to be warned on my talk page before I am blocked on 3RRR??? I understand I have been blocked for continuously re inserting a section, which I will no longer do. I thought it was permissible to do this while the matter was being discussed, but apparently not. I will no longer insert this section. I will instead seek mediation on the matter and get some fresh outside opinion. While I believe the insertion of this reference does improve the article and is a useful contribution to Wikipedia, however yes, an ongoing edit war between myself and the other authors is not helpful. I came here to say that I'm pleased we seem to have been able to resolve our differences without either of us being blocked for 3RR, but I seem to have missed the party.
To expand on what I said on the article's talk page, the issue for me is always how can you construct a coherent story, particularly in a Legacy or In popular culture section, which can so easily end up looking like rag bags of trivial factoids. Along the lines of "On John Lennon's solo album Plastic Ono Band, Lennon sings 'Remember, remember, the 5th of November' on the song "Remember"', to be found in an early version of the article. Anyway, don't worry about your block, just a battle scar to be worn proudly. And I say that as almost certainly one of the most-blocked editors still active on Wikipedia; blocking established editors very rarely fixes anything. Malleus Fatuorum 03:23, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

War of 1812
I have been cleaning up some of the citations in the article War of 1812, but for some of them the original editor did not provide enough information for me to be able to do so. You made an edit on 29 March 2010 which included inside a ref-tag pair the following:
- Turner (2000) Zuehlke (2007), Hixson (2001); William Appleman Williams, The Contours of American History (1961) p 196; Steven Watts, The Republic Reborn: War and the Making of Liberal America, 1790-1820 (1987) p 316
Please could you supply page numbers for Turner, Zuehlke and Hixson; and also a full citation for Hixson which did not and does not exist in the article, or if they are superfluous to requirements remove them. -- PBS (talk) 14:53, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
