Dean, just to let you know, you do not have to keep hitting the 'contest this deletion' button on the article page in order to reply to me- click the 'Talk' tab (top-left of the page) and then the 'edit' tab, further towards the right. Try it! Cheers, Muffled Pocketed 16:54, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Okay, so what do I need to do to ensure that this page is kept - it is factual information to the best of my knowledge Dean Vale (talk) 17:25, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've spent the last hour looking for stuff; not much seems to exist I'm afraid- online anyway. It mostly concentrates on the Man from La Mancha appearance (the O'Toole connexion, of course). Other stuff abouut local (post-retirement) appearances is out there. But for all the other detail.... can we get (can SG point our way towards) stuff in newspapers, radio, TV reviews / articles etc? Offline / hardcopy sources? I'm afraid personal knowledge is no use on its own on Wikipedia- everything has to be verifiable, you see.

okay, i get that. I will see what I can get from Simon. Trouble is, most of his prime shows etc were pre-internet - so it may not be easy.

I found this reference on the Recorded Vocal Art Society (RVAS); http://www.rvas.org.uk/simongilbert.html

I've done some work on it here (click the blue link <---); it's somewhat reduced, depending on what I found. I'll have a look at those sources above, cheers. Muffled Pocketed 19:05, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, how is it coming along now? Dean Vale (talk) 13:42, 2 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Simon Gilbert says he is actually a 'Baritone' not a 'tenor' - can that be changed? So his profile would be 'Simon Gilbert (Baritone)'Dean Vale (talk) 13:45, 2 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
