Conversions edit

Hi Davis39, saw your attempts to do up US and metric conversions in some of the horse breed articles. I agree with your decision to add these, but we at the Horse breeds task force are trying to use the {{convert}} templates to accomplish this. See what we did in [{Thoroughbred]]. Also, be VERY careful when you place the initial inches conversion from hands... a hand is only 4 inches, and so there can only be three intermediate increments... i.e 12 hands is 48 inches, 12.1 is 49 inches, 12.2 is 50 inches, 12.3 is 51 inches and 13 hands is 52 inches. We also use fractions when needed... i.e. 14/1-1/2, but that's an aside. Anyway, I reformatted the ones you did, and encourage you to use this model on other articles. Thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of The Blue Review edit

A tag has been placed on The Blue Review requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. List of Jewish Nobel prize winners edit

Hi. First I wanted to thank you for your contributions here and apologize that you seem to have been dragged into a copyright dispute that does not involve any actions by you. I am currently in communication with the Foundation's attorney about this matter, which is a little more complicated than our usual copyright concern. Complicating things further, evidently a similar list was previously deleted following deletion debate, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of atheist Nobel laureates (2nd nomination), which may make the list inappropriate altogether. :) After the first response from the attorney, I think there is a fair chance that this article will be deleted for infringing on that site. I wanted to suggest that you might like to consider salvaging your original contributions to it for the basis of a new article, in case this one does wind up being deleted (understanding that since one was deleted before, the community might decide to delete it again). I'm watching your page for a time if you'd like to discuss the matter. Meanwhile, you seem to have escaped the "welcome committee", but no one should get a free pass there. :) I'm going to place a "welcome mat" on your talk page just below. Though you've been here some months, it might prove useful to you with some of its links. I know I used it when it was given to me. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Moran Medal edit

The article Moran Medal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No notice has been taken of this medal has been taken by reliable third-party sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Davis39! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ralph D. Snyder - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
