Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Lone soldier center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mean as custard (talk) 08:38, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup at Lone Soldier Center - still needs sources to avoid Deletion edit

Greetings, your article Lone Soldier Center dropped to WP:Uncategorized since you did not provide any WP:Categories to file it properly. I fixed that for you, and did some basic cleanup of format.

While the article is interesting, and a worthwhile topic, it has/had a lot of errors that could be fixed with just some basic reading about Wikipedia formatting and conventions, which would also spare you the apparent headache you had over the last few days with Deletion issues.

You must provide some WP:Reliable sources attesting the WP:Notability of this organisation, or the article is still subject to deletion. That means academic or journalistic sources, unaffiliated with the subject. So not the LSC website, a blog, Facebook, etc. but citations from a newspaper article, book about the Israeli military, etc. Ideally every fact in the article should be clearly verifiable at a footnoted source.

Please take a moment to read up on some of these basic policies, and find a few sources to substantiate at least some of the basic facts about the article. Note also that I had to fix some of the WP:Neutrality issues in the article; it's not neutral and encyclopedic to say "fell protecting Israel", while a simple "died in a mission to rescue an IDF paratrooper..." is factually correct and accurate while making no opinions.

Hope these ideas help you, and that you can make the necessary improvements to safeguard the LSC article. Feel free to ping me for suggestions on improving the article, and/or visit The Teahouse to meet other volunteer mentors. MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:46, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
