Inserting links for Museum Planet edit

Hello, since your are connected with Museum Planet, you should not place links to that website here on Wikipedia, as it is considered at the very least as a conflict of interest, and at worst spamming. For more information, see WP:EL Thank you for your cooperation. SeaphotoTalk 15:48, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Fort Greene Park. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. SeaphotoTalk 15:54, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Coney Island. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. SeaphotoTalk 15:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with Grant's Tomb, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:11, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

ATTENTION PLEASE edit

Despite the warnings you have been given here, you continue to add spam links to your website to articles. Wikipedia policy clearly states:

Advertising and conflicts of interest

It is true that a link from Wikipedia to an external site may drive Web traffic to that site. But in line with Wikipedia policies, you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent—even if WP guidelines seem to imply that it may otherwise be linked. When in doubt, you may go to the talk page and let another editor decide. This suggestion is in line with WP's conflict-of-interest guidelines.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY MORE LINKS TO YOUR WEBSITE Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:36, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to this entry in the Museum Planet blog, the person who created the site is named "David Brown".

Our big audacious goal…..

March 5th, 2010

Welcome to www.MuseumPlanet.com On occasion I will post news about our site here. I’m David Brown the founder of Museum Planet. Our goal is to put every historic site on the planet up on our site. We have a long way to go but think New York City and Venice, Italy are a good start. Just stay tuned more is coming…[1]

So, are you claiming that you are not the "David Brown" connected with Museum Planet, and it's just a coincidence that you are posting multiple links to the website created by a person with the same name as you? Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:43, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not the same guy. I'm a travel writer. But I won't post any more links. What a stupid 'conflict of interest clasue. You must be a college sophomore cause from what i've seen the MuseumPlaent site has more infor than wikipedia. But I could care less.

While you're reviewing Wikipedia policies, you might want to check the one about no personal attacks. But I understand how it is, sometimes you just can't help breaking the rules. For instance, one of Wikipedia's most cherished policies is to assume good faith of other editors, but I'm compelled to break it now: I'm afraid that I do not believe that you are not the same person as the "David Brown" who created Museum Planet.
