3RR and Assembly theory edit

Friendly warning: Wikipedia frowns very much upon repeatedly changing back the content of a page. See the three-revert rule (3RR). No matter how frustrating it can be that an article is in a state that one just knows is wrong, sometimes the right thing to do is to work on something else for a while. This can mean stepping offline entirely for a break (take a walk, pet a cat, etc.), or just picking a different Wikipedia article to edit. The wider the variety of articles you work upon, the more likely it is that other editors will see you as a good-faith contributor, rather than a person just here to push an agenda (see WP:SPA). I have put together some general advice about writing mathematics and physics material on Wikipedia that may be of interest, if you choose to pursue the latter path. Regards, XOR'easter (talk) 20:09, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am only reverting to the version that was agreed upon on the Talk page. I think you should address your friendly warning to those vandalizing the page I am trying to defend. There was an agreement on the Talk page among most actors to discuss the changes but instead, two accounts are deleting whole sections of the page that multiple authors bona fide have worked on. Do we agree this is a good thing, not a bad thing? If my agenda is to preserve the balance of a page agreed upon on the Talk page, then I am guilty as charged, and editors like you should promote and support it. Talk page history reminder edit

Just a reminder: as per WP:OWNTALK, The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user; this is true whether the removal was manual or automatic, and includes both registered and unregistered users. Some new users believe they can hide critical comments by deleting them. This is not true: Such comments can always be retrieved from the page history. I know... And I took your criticism on board and went to the places where I called the editor 'nuts' and removed it...! So, you could have checked that first that I am acting in good faith, then I came back here and removed the comment from my wall page, which everybody knows can be tracked on the history of the page. Do you give me permission to archive it now that it is no longer relevant, or do you dictate what I am allowed to archive on my personal Talk page, or are you going to continue lecturing me when actually should have probably told me that I did well taking your recommendation onboard and edited my comments that you criticized? To your point, that I took action for the good means that I read your comment! Thanks for mansplaining... DaveFarn (talk) 01:16, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for removing defamatory content. Since you appear to be a newly registered editor with under 50 edits as of this writing, I thought it beneficial to you to know about page history. You are free to remove any conversation thread from your talk page as per WP:OWNTALK. As for keeping tabs on your edits, I have over 11,000 pages on my watchlist so please forgive me if I have other priorities. Peaceray (talk) 01:26, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
No worries. Thanks. DaveFarn (talk) 01:34, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
