Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Hey Dave,
I've reverted your edit to Product Hunt, since the addition was unsourced and not discussed on the Talk page with other editors beforehand.
I would advice you to find some reliable sources supporting your claim and take those to the talk page.

Follies

edit

Dave, the source you added does not mention follies, nor do the pictures appear to be follies, though it would be WP:OR for you or I to decide whether these were follies - which is not what we do. Not every large garden structure is automatically a folly and not every modern building with classical or neo-classical elements is a folly - if they were there would be thousands/millions of additional follies. Most of the buildings on this estate appear to be practical - if large - structures to sit out of the sun, ie shelters. YOU may think that the estate in Jamaica has follies on it, but unless you can come up with an architectural source saying (in words not pics) "these are follies", the content will inevitably be removed - if not by me then by someone else. WP:V is a core policy - "DaveDW or Pincrete think these are follies" is useless to anyone, which is what you are claiming. WP is not a ragbag of things that its editors think are true. Noted. My problem was that you gave me zero time to add my sources, and you were rude about it. Thanks for your vigilance.

Nebra disc

edit

Hi Dave, thanks for your interesting image on the Nebra sky disc page. However it appears to be your own original research, which is not supposed to be included on wikipedia, rather than previously published research. Ario1234 (talk) 21:06, 22 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not a problem. The image is meant for you. DaveCW (talk) 21:39, 22 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
BTW - in case you are interested in all elements on the disc, and haven't found my site, check out dcwalley.com/sky-disc. DaveCW (talk) 18:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Washtub Bass

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at washtub_bass. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

Dave, you have removed content from a wiki that is referenced and involves an already notable person multiple times on the same page. You have used this account and an anonymous account at IP address: 206.45.50.13 to make the edits. I am not sure why you don't find TC Lin to be a notable washtub bass player despite being a member of a band with multiple Grammy nominations, along with being a published author, film director, and photographer, but I hope you refrain from continuing to undo the edit in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TaipeiScene (talkcontribs) 21:02, 30 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
