Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Usernames that end in "bot" are only allowed for authorized bot accounts. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Hi tnXman,

This bot will be validated through the wikipedia: bot approval group.

As a first step for a bot, the page Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval requests that the username for the bot first be created.

Before applying for approval

    * You will need to create an account for your bot if you haven't already done so.

I am currently in the process of creating documentation for the bot. Upon creation I will submit it for approval.

No problem. I think {{bot}} may of use also. If there's anything else with which I can help, please let me know. TNXMan 20:08, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Username Concern

edit

Hi! I just wanted to drop you a reminder about this account. Bot accounts should only be used for approved tasks and your regular account should be used for other edits. This account hasn't been used in a while, but I just wanted to give you a heads up that this account may be blocked if other edits are made. Best, TNXMan 14:38, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
