January 2009 edit

The recent edit you made to Sport stacking constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you.  Moo  Chat  04:41, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have reverted your recent edit to the article St. Ignatius College Preparatory School. This is based primarily on policies found at WP:WPSCHOOLS/AG#WNTI and WP:NOT#NEWS. In general, school articles would not include current or former students unless they have or are otherwise eligible to have their own articles written about them. Further, information that could be perceived as being of temporary interest are generally not listed.

Best of luck in your future editing! LonelyBeacon (talk) 06:25, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi (again) Darunia,

I just reverted some edits you made at St. Ignatius College Preparatory School. Your note on this past football season, which by your own description was not notable, violates WP:NOT#NEWS. When writing an encyclopedia article, it is important to keep out any material which is not encyclopedic; that is, material that would not be a permanent part of the article under almost any circumstance. Material of temporary interest should not be added.

Further, per WP:CB, predictions on future events without considerable referencing and direct significance to the article needs to be avoided (such as speculation about next football season.

Rather than revert and run, I thought you deserved an explanation as to why this material was removed. LonelyBeacon (talk) 23:35, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Dragonball (film). Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Killa Koz (talk) 00:52, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
