Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lordship of Berat, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Despot (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Angevin Albanian army.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Angevin Albanian army.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Albanian Pashaliks; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:26, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Potrait of Gjon Kastrioti

edit

Good morning, I'm sorry, but you are wrong. The portrait of Gjon I Kastrioti who was born and died in the today Albania. I know well the book from which the immagine comes: Luigi Galante, Giancarlo Vallone (a cura di), Pietro Cavoti - I ritratti degli illustri Salentini, Centro di Studi Salentini, Lecce, 2016, p. 58.
The caption shows this text: "Pietro Cavoti riprende questo ritratto da “una stampa antica” conservata allora nella oggi distrutta casa Arcudi: un palazzo che era in piazza San Pietro, di fronte al castello. [...] Si tratta di Giovanni Castriota Scanderbeg (1455-1505), figlio di Giorgio e Andronica Arianiti.[...]" (Transaltion: Pietro Cavoti takes this portrait from "an ancient print" reserved in the now destroyed Arcudi house: a building that was in St. Peter's Square, opposite the castle. [...] This is Giovanni Castriota Scanderbeg (1455-1505), son of Giorgio and Andronica Arianiti. [...]) So I ask you to roll back my changes. Thank you in advance.--Asia (talk) 09:21, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Dardania0: Hi, it isn't necessary that we open discussion in both User talks. I know well the websites you linked to me. On the page of Castriota Scanderbeg in the bottom, the caption of second image from the left: is: Giovanni, 1st Duke of Galatina; the caption of the image after is: Giovanni, father of Scanderbeg? (with Question Mark) Now, I ask you to observe both images: Image 1 and Image 2 - you can see that both are squint.
I ask you too: is it possible to have an image of a persone who live in 14th century?
I have the book I quoted you above. Now, I ask you again to roll back my changes.--Asia (talk) 08:26, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Karl Topia.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Karl Topia.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

You have absolutely no regard for our policies on files or for copyright, from what I can tell, you upload random images from Pinterest, Facebook and other social media platforms, and you have been doing it for months now, you have already been blocked already, if you upload one more image like this, I will ask that someone block you.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at File:Karl Topia.jpg, you may be blocked from editing. VAXIDICAE💉 20:57, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Further, stop uploading copyright violations as it's apparent you do not understand Wikimedia's policy on copyright - it is not on other editors to make sure your uploads are properly licensed. VAXIDICAE💉 20:57, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is true, not only is it not on me to fix a problem with your file, but it is not fixable in any way, you cannot somehow make a copyrighted work by someone else free, and it is not eligible for fair use since there are already free illustrations of this person in the article, nor is there any text content about this person where using this particular image would be useful, not that this matters since the criteria of WP:F9 does not include being possibly eligible for fair use. But the point is I couldn't even fix this if I wanted to. Dylsss(talk contribs) 21:15, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Stop blanking template

edit

Please do not blank Template:Literature again. If you would like to remove it from a particular article, you can do that. If you want the template deleted, nominate it at WP:Templates for deletion. — Goszei (talk) 17:03, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Mirdita

edit

Hope you're well Dardania0. Thank you for your efforts and writing. I think that Principality of Mirdita is built upon a misunderstanding. What is called "principata" by some authors is the bajrak of Mirdita. The article should be merged to Mirdita. Is it ok with you if I merge them without a merge discussion?--Maleschreiber (talk) 19:34, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sections of articles about coats of arms

edit

Hello, I have recently noticed that one of your edits on the page for the Gropa family added the coat of arms of the family, but you incorrectly and misleadingly referred to it as a crest, this is NOT a crest, a crest is a heraldic element found above the helmet.

You can read more about it in Crest (heraldry), the term crest being used to refer to an entire coat of arms was popularized by scammers who sell so called "family crests", which are completely falsified designs that have no relation to the people they claim to be related to or the person they are the "ancient" designs to

This terminology makes no sense whatsoever in heraldic rules and makes information about Heraldry, the art of designing and studying coats of arms, on wikipedia, conflicting and misleading, IF THERE ARE ANY articles where you refer to a coat of arms as a crest, please edit them, thank you in advance. --Darpos (talk) 08:36, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Constantine Arianiti.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Constantine Arianiti.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
