Imaxes de situación dos concellos galegos

edit
--Prevert 12:47, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
--Prevert 20:10, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

History of galicia

edit

http://gl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megalitismo_en_Galicia

http://gl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castro_%28poboado%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillfort

Jfreyre 15:21, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi There

edit

Hi mine friend, I've been busy so i'm not been working on the galician project, but I think we have to do something with the Kingdom of Galicia Article and the suevi article. Jfreyre

Jfreyre

Suspension bridge

edit

Your removal (26 Jan) of non-existant image links completed the previous anon vandalism of 28 min earlier - Leonard G. 03:21, 3 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

What was really strange to me was that not only did the deletion "stick" until I noticed it (I was looking for the red bridge image), the fifteen intermediate edits ultimately changed only a few words in two paragraphs! There is an easy way to revert quickly, by the way. Need info? Leonard G. 01:55, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

How to revert a page:

First, check the history. You can view complete pages by clicking on the date. (Note that the page and the talk page have separate histories). To view a complete page at a point in time click on the date. To detect what was changed, select the left side radiobuttons and then use the button Compare selected versions.

Case 1: Revert a vandalized page. Select valid version's date. When the page comes up, select edit this page at the top. You will see a warning that you are editing an out-of-date version. Use the Save page button at the bottom. OK through any additional out of date warnings to save this original version.

Case 2: Revert to an earlier version which was edited legitimately after the vandalism. Apply Case 1, then compare the immediately preceding version with the one you just restored. This will show the paragraphs to be restored. Open both the new and the preceding versions for edit and copy and paste the changed paragraphs.

Beware: Someone with intent to delete paragraphs with intent to obscure facts of the article may bury a deletion within a series of legitimate edits - I saw this in Oil refinery, with six or seven edits covering the anon deletion of an entire paragraph (environmental concerns) that was not favorable to the industry - probably some marketing VP at an oil company.

You may want to put on your watchlist articles that you are familiar with. Also, checking the edit "diff" for the last edit is not enough as it may appear OK, with vandalism preceding. Always use the history. Also note that a vandal can register and vandalize with other than an IP address, so it is a good idea to check.

I stopped chasing vandals in real time and am reducing my watchlist. Now, I just cycle through specific articles and checking between my previous edit and the current state. Mark the article with some trivial edit for your next time through. So I might not review an article for a long while but keep up with changes.

Best wishes, Leonard.

Oratory

Hi,

Thanks for starting the Oratory page; I've been meening to get around to it for a while. Oratory is actually not an Oratorian school, though based on some old NY Times ads it may have been somehow connected around 1913 or so (Steve Fava and I have done a fair amount of research into the history of Oratory). Yeah, I graduated from Oratory in '01... which was long enough ago that when I go back to visit I don't know half the teachers anymore, and a lot of the good ones are gone Liamdaly620 18:23, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use problem with Image:PonteBurgoPontevedra.jpg

edit

I notice you uploaded the image Image:PonteBurgoPontevedra.jpg with the {{web-screenshot}} fair use image tag. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it may qualify for speedy deletion. Image:PonteBurgoPontevedra.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:PonteBurgoPontevedra.jpg can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the {{web-screenshot}} tag that you have placed on it with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can reupload it but please ensure you place the correct tag on it. However, you must not remove the speedy deletion notice. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. --cohesion 05:14, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I can't speak for Panzer Dragoon or Zwei (although my understanding is that they had no save system) but Saga definitely has a save system, although I don't offhand know how many blocks it takes up and it's too late now to fire up the Saturn and take a look. As for Orta I have no idea at all; I don't like that at all, and don't consider it canon. I'll find out for you how many blocks PDS needs in the morning. I think you might have jumped the gun with the semiprotect, I can't see any vandalism in the recent history. Sure, there have been a couple of superfluous and inaccurate postings but not vandalism. There have even been a couple of useful anon postings. I'm all for using page protection, I applied it to Frederico Chaves Guedes a few days ago, but that really was for a blizzard of vandalism and total nonsense. Mitch probably doesn't need to be protected for longer than a couple of days, do you agree? Nice one, Deizio talk 12:16, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

An image you uploaded, Image:Betanzos Shield.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image.
