List of Jewish Prayers and Blessings

edit

Hi Daniel, some fine work on this list. Would you mind if I offered some comments?

  1. Have you thought about nikud?
  2. How about putting together all tefilloth for each day (i.e. all Shabbat stuff together?)

British Empire Map

edit

Hi. You need to give a source of the map. Did you create it, if not what is it's source? You must add this information to [1]. Also if you did create it, it would be better if you uploaded it as a .png. This is the format most non-photographic images should use. Thirdly, if you did create it, can I ask you to change green for pink. Pink (or red) is the traditional colour with which the British Empire is shown. Lastly, we need to be clear about what you mean by the Empire at its zenith, is there any precise date for this map? Mintguy (T) 20:31, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Tamil alphabet + Hebrew letters

edit

I've reverted your second edit, as the entire content got duplicated. I'm 90% sure no actual contribution got lost, but perhaps you may want to give the article a quick look.

And, BTW, as I looked at your contributions: Would you be so kind to give me in english the author and license information of the Hebrew letter PNGs at he.wikipedia [2]?

Hi there! Thanks for adding the image Image:Mezuz.gif. It currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, and I was hoping that you would add one as untagged images may be deleted eventually. (You can use {{gfdl}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks! --David Iberri | Talk 17:59, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)

Image tag

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Motzi1.bmp. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Aqua 02:53, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images

edit

Hi. You uploaded

but did not list any source and/or copyright information on the image description page. Please mark it either as GFDL or public domain. See Image copyright tags for more info. Please note that images without copyright information may be deleted in the future. Thanks. RedWolf 04:56, Dec 31, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for your addition on infinitely square roots. As you may have noticed, I edited your contribution; amongst other things, I replaced the PNGs which you uploaded by <math> ... </math> constructs, which are easier to use (at least in my opinion). Since the pictures were used on no other pages, I listed them on Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. I hope this is not a problem. Cheers, Jitse Niesen 20:34, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Kent-Meridian High School

edit

Per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kent-Meridian High School, I just thought you'd like to know that the consensus for deleting High School articles now appears to be swinging back in favor of deletion. So this may indicate the beginning of another campaign to remove most High School articles. Your opinion on the AfD article would be appreciated. It might be helpful if a notability standard for High Schools could be agreed upon. Thank you. — RJH (talk) 16:38, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Nok1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Nok1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:30, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Nok translation

edit

Daniel, you seem to have pretty much finished with the Nok translation from the french. The rest seems just to be random fixes any editor can make. Would you mind removing it from the main part of Wikipedia:Translation_into_English/French and to the "Completed" section at the bottom? This makes the page easier to read. Thanks. --Storkk 10:47, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of Image:Begich1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Begich1.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

License tagging for Image:BegichOct7Fairbanks.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BegichOct7Fairbanks.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:27, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:RRS new.gif

edit

A tag has been placed on File:RRS new.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 16:03, 2 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Shbt-1.bmp

Thank you for uploading File:Shbt-1.bmp. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

File:Motzi1.bmp needs authorship information

edit
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Motzi1.bmp appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Daniel, levine}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:02, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
