Handa edit

Hello there, Dan, i don't know if you know thins, but i'am an Inter Milan fan just like you, and my current favourite Inter Milan player is Samir Handanović. I've seen that you have taken care of his Wikipedia page. I now that you've done it in good porpuse, but seriously man, how could you demolish my intesive work on this article. I've worked day after day after day to make that article look perfectly, and you just Summarizing it. What about at Gianluigi Buffon, or David de Gea, just look at they articles. If you think Samir Handanović's article contains too much information, just look at those two articles. In the "Internazionale paragraph", you even deleted the contract extension part, and Francesco Toldo quote about him, while De Gea has SEVEN quotes about him, Buffon also SEVEN. You have summarized his article like it is an Inter Milan article, only mentioning the league position of Inter at the end of every season. Trust me, my English is worst than you, but if you don't do that "Summarizing" thing on both Buffon and De Gea, I'll revert somehow your edit. Best Regards. Sadsadas. -- Sadasdas, talk, 20 August 2016 - 01:03 (UTC).

Buffon has multiple quotes in his article because, well, he's Buffon. I do agree on de Gea, however, since he isn't even near his level and his article teeters on the edge of fanboyism. But I digress, and yes, I agree about trimming excess content about individual performances unless they're noteworthy in some way. It's an ongoing problem with articles on attackers, where editors feel every goal they score needs to be documented. Pardon my butting in but the topic caught my attention. sixtynine • speak up • 04:07, 26 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Interesting about the "weight" issue of biography articles, and it makes a lot of sense. I just wrapped one up myself and am going back to do some trimming. But check out Johan Cruyff; it's an insane 200k-plus, mainly due to one anon editor who apparently thinks he's writing a book rather than a Wiki article. sixtynine • speak up • 21:21, 26 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
