Victor Moore

Hello,

This picture does not include much of the Victor Moore Bus Terminal, but was taken from inside it and even shows the rear part of a bus. Vcohen (talk) 08:29, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

And by the way, these two include much more of it. Vcohen (talk) 08:35, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

I saw the first two, but they're already being included in the station article itself. Perhaps a view from 75th Street, or maybe a head-on view of the buses from Broadway might suffice. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:10, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

This shot was made from the right point and is very good, except for the bus that obscures the terminal. I am looking for an option to paint the bus out... Vcohen (talk) 18:36, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

June 2016 NRHp noms on Long Island

The latest round of nominations being considered by SHPO includes two on the Island ... as with others, one in each county.

Shouldn't be too much trouble to get, I think. Daniel Case (talk) 04:58, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

It is since I drove back from New York between June 29 and June 30. Poquott, hmm? I used to pass by that community as I drove along New York State Route 25A, and I could've swore it was a private village like German Gardens in Yaphank, New York. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 05:16, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
Hey, the NYSPRHP has Suffolk Theater in Riverhead on the main page. Too bad that's not on the list. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 05:29, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Hotel St. George

Here is another bus that I want to paint out. Vcohen (talk) 16:00, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

(Yeah, I know I'm not DanTD, but I'm commenting anyway.) @Vcohen: Are you asking DanTD to take another photo of these same stations without the bus in the photo, or do you want him to simply photoshop the buses out? If it's the latter, I don't know you can photoshop this bus (at Victor Moore Terminal) out, but photoshopping that bus out is easier since the bus takes up less of the picture. epicgenius (talk) 20:05, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
I just want to complain that even when I find a picture of the required object, the object itself turns out to be obscured by something. I know that it's impossible to manually draw it because it would not be a photo, so I don't ask anybody to do anything. Vcohen (talk) 20:31, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
The shot of the hotel is okay. I was just looking for an increase in the number of images of the station entrance within the hotel. And I'm going to move this onto a new thread. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:37, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
We can request a photo be taken on Wikiproject NYC. If worse comes to worst, I'll take the pictures myself. epicgenius (talk) 23:57, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
Don't the requests from Wikipedia:WikiProject New York City Public Transportation/New York City Subway/Station pictures already get the attention of WP:NYC? Either way, if you can get some shots, go for it. There were a lot of sites I passed up, and a lot of sites I didn't think about capturing until I drove home to Florida. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 00:29, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
As it happen, on Friday I've got a Noon appointment nearby. I'll see what I can do. Oh, incidentally, there's nothing wrong in general with a drawing. A good drawing is always better than a bad photo; sometimes it's better than a good photo. However, a good drawing is difficult. Jim.henderson (talk) 17:17, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Irvington Historic District question

Did you get to an answer on your question about how to indicate an individually-NRHP-listed property is also in Irvington Historic District? It wasn't answered directly at wt:NRHP. But further up the page, a similar question by me was answered in part by pointing to Daniel How House as an example. Include type=cp to get the "Contributing Property" banner (and I think your also having the individual property's listing date is enough to tell it that the property is individually listed, too). Include the NRHP infobox fields that give parent HD name and refnum and listing date. If it doesn't look right, consult Template:Infobox NRHP more carefully. :)

But what is the point of referring to it, if there is not at least a stub article at Irvington Historic District (Irvington, New York) (currently a redlink)? IMO, by the way, the disambiguation should be (City, State) not (State), being consistent with NRHP disambiguation for all but courthouses (where NRHP disambiguation is inconsistent). cheers, --doncram 06:02, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Normally. I would make the disambiguation as "City, State," but since the "city" is already in the name it should be okay as is. If not, I can always redirect the one with the "state" to the "city, state." Also, I found my answer on another thread, so I was able to fix two properties within the district. If I find more, I'll add them as well. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 11:55, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
