Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. Being a minister (which is a non-cabinet position) does not automatically qualify for notability. Neither does being the heir's son, as notability is WP:NOTINHERITED. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:15, 8 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Hope you'll undo redirects so that I could correct the name. If you don't know please read the following:

Capitalized "AI" signifies "family of," e.g., Al Saud, Al Fahd, Al Shaykh; when not capitalized and hyphenated to the succeeding word, denotes the definitive article, e.g., al-Hijaz, al-Hasa.[1]

I've added the source, though I find it exceptionally rare to require sourcing for successors in the info boxes of cabinet positions. This is especially true when your revision arbitrarily erased that detail without any rationale, particularly given that the successor's Wikipedia page clearly displays their term in office. If we follow this approach, it could lead to a trend where individuals indiscriminately remove unsourced successors and predecessors from the info boxes on officeholder pages without justification. Thank you for the source. You said "If we follow this approach, it could lead to a trend where individuals indiscriminately remove unsourced successors and predecessors from the info boxes on officeholder pages without justification." My answer is "yes of course, because all items given in infobox should be backed by sources. Editing wikipedia doesn't mean that you can copy from other pages or other wikipedia editions. --Egeymi (talk) 07:49, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

May 2024 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Obaid Al Wasmi, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Articles and especially WP:BLPs should be properly sourced before being added to article space.  // Timothy :: talk  15:40, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it’s a new page and currently working on it. First go is off the original Arabic. Daftard (talk) 15:44, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
