August 2010 edit

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Lolita, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 71.52.140.113 (talk) 21:36, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Lolita, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. 71.52.140.113 (talk) 21:45, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lolita. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. 71.52.140.113 (talk) 21:45, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Repeated Vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. Kuru (talk) 22:57, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Ah, I see. Wikipedia currently states that the novel Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov has 36 chapters. In fact it has 69 chapters. I made the edit, and illiterate folks keep changing it.

Request reason:

Here's a study guide of Lolita's 69 chapters. I added accurate information to the Lolita page. It was not damage but a useful contribution.

Decline reason:

Well, since you have yet to address your block and are continuing to champion false information, I will now revoke your ability to edit this talk page. —DoRD (talk) 00:24, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
