The reply-link newsletter, issue 1 edit

Hi! Welcome to the new reply-link newsletter, which I made because the ol' list on the reply-link talk page was unwieldy. In case you haven't been following development recently, I've sent out some new updates that should let it reply basically anywhere, even in transcluded pages or under hatted discussions (two locations people have been wanting for a while). Reliability has also gone way up, as I've implemented a couple of sanity checks that help prevent the script from responding to the wrong message. Unfortunately, that means the script fails a bit more often. Anyway, try it out if you haven't done so in a while, and let me know what you think! I always appreciate feature requests or bug reports on the talk page. Happy replying! (Signup list/Unsubscribe) MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:23, 30 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your merger proposal edit

I noticed that you added merger proposal tags to Microfinance and Financial inclusion, but didn't edit the talk pages. You need to start a discussion on the talk page for one of the two articles stating your reasons for proposing a merger. Hope this helps. Qzekrom (talk) 23:29, 16 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Qzekrom: I apologize; I thought it was a fairly obvious case of the same topic under two different names, but I would be glad to have this clarified if this is not the case. I have started a discussion at Talk:Financial inclusion#Merge of microfinance and linked it from the page headers. Daask (talk) 09:38, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Avon, Rock County, Wisconsin edit

Hi-I reverted your revert concerning the Avon, Rock County, Wisconsin article. I added a citation from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation of the Rock County, Wisconsin highway map. The unincorporated community of Avon is listed on the Rock County map. Please read the Administrative divisions of Wisconsin article; this has detailed information about Wisconsin local governments-thank you-RFD (talk) 11:43, 14 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@RFD: Thank you for catching this! My mistake. Daask (talk) 20:07, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Question about your (now year-old) comment on the LGBT films list lead TfD edit

During the discussion you said: If the decision is to delete, we could merge the template into List of LGBT-related films by year inside onlyinclude tags.

I'm not sure how having <onlyinclude>...</onlyinclude> in the parent list would function, as the parent list isn't transcluded on all the other articles; I guess you're suggesting a transclusion of the parent list could replace the current template transclusion? eπi (talk | contribs) 15:06, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@E to the Pi times i: Yes, I was suggesting the template could be moved into List of LGBT-related films by year inside <onlyinclude>...</onlyinclude>, making List of LGBT-related films by year function as both an article and a template. All transclusions of {{LGBT films list lead}} would then be changed to {{List of LGBT-related films by year}}. Daask (talk) 15:31, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Then I think having template code in mainspace would significantly worsen the transparency of editing, to the point that it would be better to not standardize at all. Looking back at the TfD discussion, I do think transparency of how to edit the lead is a problem, especially with the Visual Editor, but I have some ideas for fixing that I'll hopefully get around to implementing soon (Explanatory comments preceding the template transclusions, and a meta-template to simplify the template code are my two current ideas). eπi (talk | contribs) 15:39, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

"proto-Protestantism" or "pre-Reformation movements" edit

Hi, I am interested in your input on Talk:Pre-Reformation movements. If you could leave a brief statement as to which page name you prefer, that would be great.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 16:05, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Samuel Ornitz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charm (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
