A tag has been placed on World Sports Show requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

World Sports Show edit

Hi, and thanks for getting to me on my talk page. It sounds like that this is a show on the web. Since this is the case, let me point you to WP:WEB. There's a strict list of criteria there for a website, or a show on the web to be included on Wikipedia.

To quote that page:

"Keeping in mind that all articles must conform with the policy on verifiability to reliable sources, and that primary sources alone are not sufficient to establish notability; web-specific content may be notable based on meeting any one of the following criteria.

The content itself has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself. This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, magazine articles, books, television documentaries, websites, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations except for the following: Media re-prints of press releases and advertising for the content or site.

Trivial coverage, such as newspaper articles that simply report the Internet address, newspaper articles that simply report the times at which such content is updated or made available, a brief summary of the nature of the content or the publication of Internet addresses and site, and content descriptions in Internet directories or online stores.

The website or content has won a well-known and independent award from either a publication or organization.

The content is distributed via a medium which is both respected and independent of the creators, either through an online newspaper or magazine, an online publisher, or an online broadcaster; except for trivial distribution including content being hosted on sites without editorial oversight (such as YouTube, Facebook, Newgrounds, personal blogs, etc.).

These criteria are presented as rules of thumb for easily identifying web content that Wikipedia should probably have articles about. In almost all cases, a thorough search for independent, third-party reliable sources will be successful for content meeting one or more of these criteria. However, meeting these criteria is not an absolute guarantee that Wikipedia should have a separate, stand-alone article entirely dedicated to the content."

If you can show this through reliable sources, then I'd agree the page should be kept. If it's just to promote the show however, that's not what Wikipedia is used for unfortunately.
