AfD nomination of Astrid Bryan

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Astrid Bryan. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Astrid Bryan. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You must change your username and follow our conflict of interest guidelines

edit

Please see WP:GROUPNAME -- which says:

"Explicit use of a name or url of a company, group or product as a username is not permitted. Your username should represent you. Accounts that represent an entire group or company are not permitted; see Sharing accounts below. Since usernames that are the name of a company or group create the appearance of intent to promote that group, accounts with a company or group name as a username are indefinitely blocked." I am now blocking this account, although you may still edit this page. This is standard procedure.

There is another equally serious problem. The section I refer to continues: "Avoid editing articles with which you may have a conflict of interest. You will need to carefully follow Wikipedia's guide to editing with a conflict of interest." Thanks you. Dougweller (talk) 12:30, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I realise that there is a person named Jody Watley. However, as you refer to yourself as 'we', I assume that this account is used by either several people (not allowed) or a company or group. Obviously if this is not the case we have a different situation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dougweller (talkcontribs) 12:36, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Watleymusic, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Dougweller (talk) 12:31, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I request a new username change :

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to "DIRTSA8032170" (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

Request handled by: TNXMan

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

What types of articles do you intend to work on if you change, as you now understand WP:COI and WP:PROMO? (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:24, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Response to Dougweller (talk | contribs) I would like to apologize for this misunderstanding but there is just one individual editing this article. I requested a new username. Watleymusic(talk) 07:53, 11 May 2010

In your response, I am not able to determine whether, in future, you'll be following the conflict of interest and promotion guidelines, or how. Do you understand that, as Wikipedia editors, we are all expected to avoid writing about subjects in which we have a personal or financial interest? Are you willing to avoid such subjects? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 10:54, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Response to FisherQueen . I have no intension of writing articles which I have personal or financial interest. I am willing to avoid such subjects. 12 May 2010
