Edit Summary Request edit

I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 23:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edits edit

I wanted to thank you for your improvements and wikifications of the Cthulhu Mythos articles--you're catching a lot of stuff. I also wanted to ask you a favor, and I wanted to preface this by saying that you should of course work in the way that's easiest for you. But I was wondering if you might try, instead of saving each individual edit as you make it, you might just preview each edit and then save them all at once when you're done with an article. It would be easier to appreciate what you've done at a glance if there were more edits per version. Again, not a big deal, and you should do what works for you. Yog-Sothoth edit

That actually wasn't me that changed that--I'd have to take another look at the text to see whether the bubbles are identified with the character Mason and Brown Jenkin introduce Gilman to--who is, of course, identified with Nyarlathotep.

If there isn't such an identification, leaving open the possibility that the bubbles might be someone else, it might be worth noting that Derleth (I think that's right) uses that description for Yog-Sothoth. (Do a Google search for "Cthulhu Mythos: A Guide"; there's a very useful index there to all the early Mythos writers. I'm thinking it's in Lurker at the Threshold.) I think linking directly to Yog-Sothoth from the description would be too much of an interpretation on our part. Nareek 17:19, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Il sergente nella neve edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Il sergente nella neve, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Malcolma (talk) 08:46, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
