Arabic in Jerusalem

edit

Thanks for asking me about that. It read "the sun is broken", which as far as I know is not another name for Jerusalem in Arabic (except perhaps to aspiring poets)! Anyway, welcome. Tiamuttalk 11:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No I haven't seen you email. My account seems to be inaccessible right now. I hope it's nothing urgent. If it is, you can discuss on my talk. Thanks. Tiamuttalk 11:25, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wow! First of all, let me extend my solidarity to you for your struggle against Zionism. I am sorry that you too have had to endure violent repression for expressing your beliefs, but like your compatriots, view such experiences as a initiatory badge of pride that every person who resists the status quo must endure. However, while I think you have a right to protest at the gay pride parade, that would not be the focus of my own efforts. Gays have little to do with the state and its policies and I'm sure you might find many an ally against Zionism from within their ranks. In any case, I look forward to reading the full version of your comment in my email (if it ever recovers). It would be nice to meet one day. I find the views and experiences of the Satmar community to be fascinating, but have had very little exposure to anyone from the community, given that I live in Nazareth and hardly ever leave. Thank you for sharing and I hope we can keep in touch. Tiamuttalk 13:55, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
